@Toomuchtrouble4me - those of us who don't agree with what's happening are free to rant and rave and protest and swear and throw the telly out of the window (as long as we don't hit anyone with it). If we weren't free to do all this, that would be the end of democracy.

Yeah, you really haven't grasped the concept of 'a deal' in this scenario, have you.

It works a bit like this.
You're on life support in hospital. Your loved ones want to move you to a different hospital but arrangements need to be in place for your life support to continue during the move (a deal). But your loved ones say "Sod that, we don't need to do a deal, we're just leaving" and pull the plug on your life support machine. No deal isn't such a great idea when you look at it like that.
