And when you thought politics couldn’t get any shitter.

I’m so angry at the Labour Party also. Where are they? What the fuck are they doing?

Cornynites and Momentum have a lot to answer for. Weak opposition has led to this dick head getting in.

saavi · 23/07/2019 13:30

I can't stomach the sight of him.

OrrAppleCheeks · 23/07/2019 13:30

@Shinesweetfreedom
How will leaving the EU help "sort the immigration problem out"? And what is the immigration problem?

Alsohuman · 23/07/2019 13:33

My prediction is that he’ll take the record for the shortest serving PM in history. A no confidence vote will trigger a GE. The Brexit party will split the leave vote and neither will have a majority. The Libdems will pick up virtually the entire Remain vote (because Labour can’t be trusted) and we’ll all be voting in another referendum by the end of the year.

I’m a glass half full kinda gal.

ethelfleda · 23/07/2019 13:33

I’m secretly hoping that a hard swing to the right in British Politics will gee up the centre left in to action out of pure outrage. Let’s have another general election and the entire population of Boris haters can hopefully erode the tories’ Majority further!
Otherwise, we are fucked.

OhDear2200 · 23/07/2019 13:34

Shinesweetfreedom

Are you my mother in law???

ethelfleda · 23/07/2019 13:34

Alsohuman
Yes! This is my prediction also!

WoollyMollyMonkey · 23/07/2019 13:34

He’s got to go to Buckingham Palace to ask the Queen’s permission to form his government - am I wrong to hope she says no and “Orf with his head” haha!

OhDear2200 · 23/07/2019 13:35

If so step away from the DM

ethelfleda · 23/07/2019 13:35

Boris is the poster boy for the Dunning-Kruger effect.

BarbariansMum · 23/07/2019 13:36

Oh good. Our very own Donald Trump. Cant wait. Hmm

Puzzledandpissedoff · 23/07/2019 13:36

I have no idea what Labour stand for any more (except dithering), or the Conservatives (except tearing chunks out of one another), or the Lib Dems (except being spineless), or anyone

It's really quite simple; every last one of them stands for nothing at all except their own ambition and self interest

I suppose there might be the odd one - almost certainly a very junior MP - who honestly still believes they're there to make a difference for the good of all, but they too will get corrupted as they climb higher

ginandbearit · 23/07/2019 13:36

So we have a morally incontinent adolescent in the top job....unbelievable that this man child has got where he is, if it wasnt so serious it would be hilarious ..Boris as Minister for Japes Wheezes and Shagging was ok , but in charge of our future ..

SnotandBothered · 23/07/2019 13:37

Boris attempts to manipulate his image by appearing clumsy and buffoon-like, but underneath all that, he is a self-serving Tory through and through, who has had a game plan for a very long time, which has now come to fruition. Loathsome man.

Having said that, and as a remainer who would happily punch Cameron in the face, I feel some relief that there is now someone at the helm with an agenda. Assuming we have to make good on the vote and leave - I just want to get on with it now. The social division, the spite and vitriol and the breakdown of relationships and society that this has caused to date, is far more frightening and alarming to me personally, than the idea of going into recession for a couple of years. That's not to say I support leaving, but like it or not, it's going to happen and dragging our heels is causing huge societal damage.

I just hope he manages to rebrand the WA with a couple of tweaks and get something through.

dottiedodah · 23/07/2019 13:39

Noodle nose fraggle .Of course you are right ,Just that where we are (Think affluent south coast town!).There was a poster from" led by Donkeys" stating the unfairness of this situation.Just made me think thats all (probably the aim !)..

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 23/07/2019 13:39

He's very clever so I reckon he will be a PM for a lot longer than peopke imagine. Have never been fooled by his lovable buffoon routine. He's a very scheming political mind.

tomhardyfan · 23/07/2019 13:41

We will probably all get these for free lol

78percentLindt · 23/07/2019 13:42

Well, listening to his speech- he has found Theresa's magic money tree. More police , more for education etc. Shame he didn't let her know where it was.
Oh and it looks like Jacob is expecting a job!!!

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 23/07/2019 13:43

CatherineofAragon

I agree. He is calculating and shrewd. The Tory party are generally more disciplined than the Labour Party (although not under TM). If they think they are in sniffing distance of a majority in a GE they will behave and line behind him for now.

ConkerGame · 23/07/2019 13:43

@theredbarrows what’s wrong with Swinson’s voting record? (Genuinely interested). I thought she’d voted pro-equality, pro-gay marriage, anti-brexit and anti-nuclear development? What’s the negative side?

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 23/07/2019 13:44

line up

ethelfleda · 23/07/2019 13:44

Is it possible that he is just playing hard ball with the EU and all this talk of leaving without a deal is a huge bluff?

Roussette · 23/07/2019 13:44

He's actually hugely intelligent which makes him a big worry for this country, I agree Catherine

PortiaCastis · 23/07/2019 13:45

Oh I can believe how people think brexit will sort the immigration problem out, yep like what happened to the two lovely Polish girls who worked for me hounded out of the Country by ignorant uneducated racists who thought it was fun to taunt young women and daub thick ignorant slogans on their front door and windows and car.
Thing is not one British person has applied for the resulting job vacancies!
