I do like his show but honestly, what a fuss he makes about Serious Jockin’ on a Friday! It’s just tunes Steve, get over it!

His shows are seriously awful. I run to the radio to switch him off.

I hate his show.. so you can guess my answer - annoying, WITH A BLOODY G!

He must know where the bodies at the BBC are buried, his show is dire and yet it endures.......

This will not end well OP, I knew I had found my tribe when I found so many people on here who can't stand his show.

I think it's because it's a pre record and he has Fridays off....he has to keep bigging it up to stop everyone remembering that he only works 4 days a week.

I usually like the music on serious jockin' and listen to it on the app. Always forget about it at the time.

Agree completely. I don't get it. At first I thought it was a parody of bad repetitive DJs... But there's no jokes... So it's just bad radio with an ironic tone but no actual irony....?

lt's atrociously bad. And the "DJ Silly Boi" rubbish he spouts as well. l genuinely cannot believe how many people actually message in and join in with this inane crap. l've only heard it briefly when l've been driving home, channel hopping on the radio trying to find some decent music.
l agree with one of the previous posters - he must have something on somebody to get away with it.

Aye! The only good thing about his show was Bits and Pieces... back in the 80s... and Radio1 possibly!

I hate it too. I wish he would retire and Chris Evans would come back and take his slot.

The only bit I liked was "Ask Elvis" on Friday afternoons but that was years ago.

I agree SW must have some serious dirt on the Director General, he's bloody awful.

I love Steve, and I love his enthusiasm but the music is like something you’d hear on local radio on a Tuesday morning. I don’t understand why everything seems to have to stop for it. Popmaster, on the other hand...

His show hasn't changed for at least thirty years. Amazing that every email he reads out starts "Love the show "

Can't bear it. I've started listening to R2 for Sarah Cox but Steve Wright, champion of the semi-bankrupt comeback tour (tuwer) has me reaching for the off switch every time.

Can't bear him. He's an absolute wanker.

In fact I turn radio 2 off after Ken has finished.

He is dire. Can’t stand his applause button and cheering for THE BIG SHOW!!!!!! Turn the radio off after the 2 o’clock news.

I cannot stand this man. If we have to be somewhere on a friday we try and schedule it for when his show isn't on. Bloody awful.

Bits and Pieces was indeed part of the radio 1 roadshow, I was desperate to get on it but never got picked probably because we could never be bothered to get there early enough to get to the front

@00100001 my friend and I were talking about Jeremy Vine and how he seems to have become more antagonistic over the years, never listening to the facts and just trying to stir things up.
We wondered whether he’s been made to do this by the bosses for the ratings as he never used to to this a dew yrs ago.

Steve Wright is fucking wrong, his show is awful!! But worse than his friday show is his Sunday love song shit!
