So my partner has bought this tea shirt for his 3 year old granddaughter. I know what I think of it but I'd like to ask you what you all think?

It would look better in the bin.

I can't handle how much I'm cringing about a grandad trying to be aggressive through a t shirt on a toddler, I think I'd leave someone for this, because I'd be so put off I'd never be able to sleep with them again!

popehilarious · 19/07/2019 20:35

There's loads of these around on the internet, I think they've almost become a meme - they seem to be generated using random words to appeal to people with specific interests... although a load of cliched ones like this

KNain · 19/07/2019 20:36

It's hideous, for all the reasons listed above.

There's also way too much reading involved. Nobody is going to be able to read all that!

popehilarious · 19/07/2019 20:38

can you imagine the mn response to this

Mummyoflittledragon · 19/07/2019 20:41

Bloody awful sexist crap. I would say bin it but that just adds to landfill. Can he return it?

nilcarborundum · 19/07/2019 20:42

Thank you all for your replies! Most of them are saying exactly what I think Hmm I was shocked when he sent that picture to me , and I think it's in very poor taste. We are both in our 60's and he seems to get more eccentric as he gets older, but this takes the Biscuit
Now all I have to do is convince him NOT to send it!

Oh and he got it off Facebook!

WomanLikeMeLM · 19/07/2019 20:45

Predictable responses from Mumsnet Perfect Parent Brigade. Hmm

DaphneFanshaw · 19/07/2019 20:46

It's brilliant!..... for polishing the skirting boards with.

DaphneFanshaw · 19/07/2019 20:53
Grin
Redwinestillfine · 19/07/2019 20:55

Charity shop it

Ellie56 · 19/07/2019 20:57

Perfectly horrid and totally unsuitable for a three year old.

MitziK · 19/07/2019 20:58

It's perfect. For wearing when having a huge bowl of Bolognese, followed by chocolate icecream and chocolate syrup.

Oh, and a bit of playing in the garden with a hose and mud. Followed by a short wash at 90 degrees.

MrsTommyBanks · 19/07/2019 21:02

No.

Awrite · 19/07/2019 21:04

My Dad would never buy anything so tacky or aggressive. However, even if he were inclined to do so, he's met me so would know there's a snowball's chance in hell that my dd would ever be allowed to wear such a monstrosity.

Has your dp not met his children? Or, would they in fact see the 'humour'?

SheSaidNoFuckThat · 19/07/2019 21:08

It's tacky but nothing worth getting worked up over tbh
