So my partner has bought this tea shirt for his 3 year old granddaughter. I know what I think of it but I'd like to ask you what you all think?

TheFaerieQueene · 19/07/2019 19:37

Hideous.

Ticklemeelmo · 19/07/2019 19:40

It's the t shirt equivalent of those ranting Facebook bios: 'my kids are my world' blah blah

herculepoirot2 · 19/07/2019 19:41

Gross.

EskewedBeef · 19/07/2019 19:42

It's not my cup of tee. A bit crass.

DontCallMeShitley · 19/07/2019 19:43

Not my cuppa T.

DontCallMeShitley · 19/07/2019 19:44

Great minds Beef [grin}

DontCallMeShitley · 19/07/2019 19:44

Oh bugger Grin

fedup21 · 19/07/2019 19:44

It’s hideous.

It’s also a T-shirt, unless there is actually some tea somewhere that I’m missing.

IntoValhalla · 19/07/2019 19:45

@Amibeingnaive your response is why I love mumsnet so much Grin

InsertFunnyUsername · 19/07/2019 19:47

That Crazy Grandpa is an angry ol man, who wouldn't know where to hide a pencil, let alone a body?

jarhead123 · 19/07/2019 19:49

VERY tacky!

Leeds2 · 19/07/2019 19:52

I wouldn't dress my DD in it.

apostropheuse · 19/07/2019 19:52

It's extremely tacky and makes your partner sound like an imbecile.

recklessruby · 19/07/2019 19:55

Tacky and chavvy. Dont let him put an innocent child in that

LaMarschallin · 19/07/2019 19:57

Good grief no!

A peachier pink may be more flattering.

user1492729177 · 19/07/2019 20:00

Nope, horrid!

saraclara · 19/07/2019 20:00

I wouldn't want such an aggressive sentiment on a small child that has no idea what they are sporting.

That. I hate to see small children in clothing with words and thoughts that they don't understand and would never voice themselves.

Sorryisntgoodenough · 19/07/2019 20:05

AWFUL!

I get the sentiment- this grandpa loves his granddaughter - the ‘and would harm anyone that looks at his granddaughter’ is not something I’ve seen on a T shirt since the 90’s but I assume they would be still available in tacky Benidorm/ Faliraki resorts.

YANBU, where/when on earth did he get it?

firstimemamma · 19/07/2019 20:05

I think it's crap!

Itwouldtakemuchmorethanthis · 19/07/2019 20:07

Do not put that on your little Darjeeling.

FamilyOfAliens · 19/07/2019 20:08

It’s just awful how the wording on those t shirts gets completely obliterated when you accidentally iron over them on a very hot setting.

Wintersnowdrop · 19/07/2019 20:08

Yup , it’s horrible.

HeadintheiClouds · 19/07/2019 20:09

Dreadful old shite

Barbie222 · 19/07/2019 20:09

Made me spit my tea.

Chune · 19/07/2019 20:11

At least it's not like one of those x rated ones.

Just PG.
