To think no woman should be forced to wax male genitalia

This is where self id has got Canada to.

A male identifying as a woman is suing 16 mainly immigrant women who work from home as beauticians because they only provide brazilian waxing services for females.

Many others have settled out of court for a quiet life.

AIBU to think that no-one working from home in a vulnerable situation as these women are should be forced to wax the genitals of anyone they don't feel comfortable waxing?

I think the barber/ hairdresser analogy works very well.

If I go to a barber and ask for a short back and sides then he should not be able to turn me away because I'm female. If I go to a barber and ask for highlights and a perm then he should be well within his rights to turn me away on the basis that he doesn't offer that service.

I certainly don't agree it's analogous to the Christians and their B&B because there was absolutely no difference in the service to be offered to a man and a woman or to two men.

Datun · 18/07/2019 14:07

Of course someone should be able to refuse a service based on lack of competency.

But in this case, she should be able to refuse him based on the millions of phone calls he made to her, the intimidatory tactics, and the fact that he came across as an utter creep.

Even if she did male genital waxing, she shouldn't be forced to do it to someone who frightens her.

RiddleyW · 18/07/2019 14:19

Yes, that's absolutely true too Datun.

In fact I did once sack a customer for being aggressive to an employee. He threatened to sue us but didn't in the end - I think we may have lost actually.

DramaRamaLlama · 18/07/2019 14:25

meditrina the law recognises that genitals are not "just genitals" they are sexed and a different legal approach applies: hence it is a criminal offence to circumcise female genitals but not male genitals.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/07/2019 14:38

Even if she did male genital waxing, she shouldn't be forced to do it to someone who frightens her.

Exactly!

IrmaFayLear · 18/07/2019 14:39

Fgs - the guy is just a pervert:

JY has spoken about hanging out in the Ladies' loos and changing rooms, hoping to see a tampon string hanging out of a girl's vagina. He has asked whether, if a pre-teen girl started her first period whilst JY was in the Ladies' loos, JY could offer advice on using a sanitary towel or tampon - or even offer practical assistance.

This is not an offended transgender person, it's someone who sounds like a danger to society.

IrmaFayLear · 18/07/2019 14:43

I agree that this does have implications for those who work alone or visit people's houses alone. Surely anyone has the right to protect themselves? Or perhaps not, if it offends ? Confused

Datun · 18/07/2019 14:53

This is not an offended transgender person, it's someone who sounds like a danger to society.

Well that's the problem, isn't it? Firstly being trans doesn't preclude someone from being a pervert. Secondly there is no way of saying whether someone is trans or not, given it's just about the person's own words.

And lastly, they are absolutely trans according to Stonewall. Whose motto is acceptance without exception.

This is the problem with implementing laws based on how someone feels, which is in direct contradiction to reality.

IrmaFayLear · 18/07/2019 14:59

As someone remarked upthread, it's only a matter of time before some 50-year-old bloke is going to demand to sit in a primary school because he identifies as 7 years old. Life is going to get very good for perverts.

Datun · 18/07/2019 15:31

IrmaFayLear

Nappy fetishists have already threatened to go to the exact same tribunal that JY is using if teachers don't change their nappy (soiled...)

The student in his 40s asked to be treated as an infant, demanding children's books be read to him, speaking in a baby voice, wearing a soother, and even submitting a selfie of himself in a diaper to one instructor, said Roth. She believes that as soon as the university knew the student had what it terms an "atypical sexual drive that he may impose on non-consenting individuals" staff needed warning.

Common sense has left the building

Siameasy · 18/07/2019 15:44

Hang on - he’s three years old but he’s at college “handing in essays” and presumably drives a car and may drink alcohol...a very clever three year old sending messages but really he should be potty trained by now🙄🤢SICK

MrsGideon · 18/07/2019 15:56

Why is no one talking about the fact that this person (and their mother) think they not only have a clit, but also that they've been having periods since they were 13/14?? How can anyone read/hear that and not think they are delusional?

Datun · 18/07/2019 16:13

How can anyone read/hear that and not think they are delusional?

It's actually completely beyond me, and I thought I'd heard everything. But this is a legitimate tribunal, listening to the most ridiculous nonsense anyone could possibly dream up.

Datun · 18/07/2019 16:17

Especially as:

”Like even though I have a dick unfortunately ...I can be fully out there and change with them? Like, I don’t want them to give me any issues or things.”

To think no woman should be forced to wax male genitalia
dontdoxmeeither · 18/07/2019 16:37

Ye Gads @Datun

I thought the JY actions were bad but that last link you posted is one of the vilest things I've read on the matter.

IrmaFayLear · 18/07/2019 16:39

Blimey, I'm not moving to Canada. These behaviours (the waxer and the nappy fetish guy) are those of insane people! It really is the Emperor's New Clothes.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 18/07/2019 16:44

@Teddybear45 - my understanding is that the beauticians concerned advertised doing female waxing services - to me, that makes it pretty clear that they do not wax male genitalia!

It bears repeating, but this is what AB, an expert witness, said, under oath, about waxing male genitalia:

“AB started out providing services from her home, and discussed the risks involved with this. To wax a male client, AB must handle his scrotum and the shaft of the penis. Many men get erections. Some men ask for sex, and when this request is refused, some get angry. AB has been called ‘bitch,’ ‘slut’ and worse.”

Women, working alone, in their homes, or alone apart from their children in the next room, have NO obligation to open themselves up to this sort of risk if they do not want to.

It is abundantly clear that JY does not actually want anyone to wax their genitals - they want to abuse and intimidate women, especially women from specific religious groups, and to set up vexatious legal cases. They are a predator and a pervert, and a deeply unpleasant individual.

Veryveryouting · 18/07/2019 16:49

I don't swear often on MN but reading stuff like this makes me fucking furious.

Veryveryouting · 18/07/2019 16:50

I just can't comprehend how this "case" even made it to court ffs.

Datun · 18/07/2019 16:54

It is abundantly clear that JY does not actually want anyone to wax their genitals - they want to abuse and intimidate women, especially women from specific religious groups

Exactly. Creeps like JY have always existed.

What's different now is that they have, seemingly, a terrible, legitimate leverage.

Because the trans ideology is so incoherent and has to ignore male pattern behaviour.
As Miranda Yardley said if you won't see sex you can't see sexism. And if you don't accept that predatory behaviour is largely male pattern behaviour, you can't ever address it.

IrmaFayLear · 18/07/2019 16:55

It's just unbelievable. You are a waxer. You take a booking from a woman. On your doorstep appears a man (who was clearly masquerading as a woman to get a booking, so safety alarm bells ring). You say, "I'm very sorry, I don't do male waxing." And the next thing you're in court! It's preposterous!

So if I were in Canada and booked a lady plumber (because one does advertise locally) and instead of Brenda, a person who is clearly Brian is standing at the door, it is wrong to say, "No thanks," even if Brian identifies as Brenda?

Sportsdirectmug · 18/07/2019 16:57

State sponsored financial and emotional abuse of women

IrmaFayLear · 18/07/2019 17:03

Why is this not reported in Canadian newspapers given that reporting restrictions have now been lifted?

Is there no Canadian Daily Mail?!

RUOKHUN · 18/07/2019 17:08

I am very pro trans rights but this isn’t a right. Male genitalia is very different to female genitalia. No getting past that!
