Nothing much to say about Liz Hurley's son but the ad makes me puke.

It says:

Liz Hurley is a horrible self absorbed nobody. Had the displeasure of meeting her a number of years back where she actually said to Airport Police who had stopped her to search her, " Do you not know who i am"?
And she was extremely rude to them. Horrible woman, i have never forgotten that.

I think it must be an age thing but so tired of vanity, emptiness, fakeness. Not opposed to make up etc but just the self absorption and the worshipping of overpriced things just because they have a label.

I have Lorraine on in the background and they did a piece on Gucci trainers verses the Poundland dupes - near 500 quid for the designer ones, 9 for the latter. Both hideously tacky but the Gucci's are the must have for the fashion sheep. The Gucci ones on the show belong to a member of the backroom staff on the show so doubt she is that well paid but has a pair of trainers that look like she got them from the market.

The pose in the little film is more disturbing than the still images. He is so young. I would really hate it if it was my daughter doing this, i couldn’t care less about the makeup, it is the sexualisation of someone still at school that is grim.

Not ‘Pat whoever’ Sarcelle, Pat McGrath - a hugely, hugely talented black female make up artist and entrepreneur, who used to mix up home made cosmetics with her mother when they couldn’t find what they wanted during her childhood in England.

If you’d like to know a little more about her - which might reverse your contempt - you could listen to her Desert Island Discs broadcast. (She does choose lovely music.)

She is to be congratulated for her success and for being instrumental in broadening the (English?) understanding of what constitutes beauty.

The make up person may be hugely talented but it is still pretentious, overpriced and marketed to shallow types. People who have bought into the hype. You perhaps?

Lots of people, otherwise her business wouldn’t be so hugely successful. The world really hates a woman making a success for herself out of nothing it seems.
