They really are astonishing pictures, part of an ad campaign. He looks just like mum. I'm not keen. Please Google for ref, can't do link.

But a lot of young people do that stupid tongue out thing. It's just what they do. I can't get worked up about it. He's 17 not 7.

NoTheresa · 18/07/2019 12:54

He clearly takes after his father.

overnightangel · 18/07/2019 12:55

“He’s playing with his gender in that campaign which captures the zeitgeist of his generation”

🙄

TruthOnTrial · 18/07/2019 12:56

I can't agree with the 'mouth open= female stereotype' as an open mouth could indicate sexuality in either sex

Well no. Men have never stereotyoically done pout mouth, fish gapes;, that's just gaslighting nonsense and worryingly blind for a 'proud feminist' to not have noticed

MissLadyM · 18/07/2019 12:56

Her relationship with him and her nephew (Google it) is very creepy

Schoolisback1973 · 18/07/2019 12:58

Love that he is not doing the usual 'famous parents' job i.e modelling clothes for a big brand.
It is great that he is venturing into something completely different and fits him obviously! How beautiful is he? Great face for make up

But he isn't pouting like a fish, his mouth is slightly parted (probably because he's got a fan blowing into his face), truth. How dare you call me a gaslighter. That is really hurtful, if you knew me you would know how painful that is. But you don't so I'll leave the thread.

Sagradafamiliar · 18/07/2019 13:09

Before I go, parted lips are never an invitation. Being overtly sexual doesn't mean you are 'available'. To anyone. Those are dangerous assumptions to make.

Gosh I don't think he's handsome at all.

ohcanada · 18/07/2019 13:35
  1. He's not exactly a vulnerable child. He's a male model with plenty of money with a mother knows knows the industry. His posing it meant to be sexy, he looks very comfortable with it. He's 17 not 12.

  2. Pat McGrath is an amazing makeup artist and has worked in high high fashion since the beginning, with her makeup line being entered at a very high level for pros. It's meant to push boundaries, be creative and provoke a reaction. Not the adoration of the mums on this website.

ohcanada · 18/07/2019 13:37

@NottonightJosepheen straight men definitely do that pose, all the time. Maybe not with the big hair or the fan, but definitely with makeup. Go and get yourself a luxury fashion magazine. How do you even know whether he's gay or not?

Alsohuman · 18/07/2019 13:37

Straight men are never pictured like that except perhaps now. Do we know he’s gay? Perhaps McGrath is making a point about how women are portrayed in advertising and you’ve all spectacularly missed it.

Bluntness100 · 18/07/2019 13:39

Cmon, seriously? You can't. Really think this is a reflection of his real, life? It's pr. make believe. Made up,

Posting and calling it astonishing and being uncomfortable that he has not got his own persona is like posting you think coronation street is real.

It's make believe. It's not a reflection on his real life.

BertrandRussell · 18/07/2019 13:40

“Perhaps McGrath is making a point about how women are portrayed in advertising and you’ve all spectacularly missed it.“

Possibly. Bit of a craply made point, then, isn’t it?

Alsohuman · 18/07/2019 13:41

Exactly @Bluntness100. Why haven’t we got a like button?

Boulezvous · 18/07/2019 13:42

I found some of the mother and son photos that he and Liz post to be pretty odd and squirmy with a touch of gay best friend/incest about them. I have a son his age and it's just laughable that he wound pose for photos with me like that. I have one of us on holiday together, that's it. We wouldn't be entwined together in matching sarongs flicking our hair and pouting!

But I guess what it underlines to me is the weirdness of the life of celebrities with no visible work in the conventional sense, paid to wear certain things and to attend the opening of a luxury handbag shop, monetising their Instagram followers. Posing, posing, posing...it seems so vacuous.

It would be more interesting if he decided to train as a plumber.

Alsohuman · 18/07/2019 13:43

No, it isn’t a craply made point at all. Just a bit subtle for people for whom no opportunity to be outraged is too trivial.

MarshaBradyo · 18/07/2019 13:45

I doubt it’s a point on women

MarshaBradyo · 18/07/2019 13:46

Why do people have to be called outraged all the time when it’s just a discussion

Alsohuman · 18/07/2019 13:50

Because they are?

MarshaBradyo · 18/07/2019 13:50

Who I’m not and I’ve said I have an issue with the pose

Yousicktwistedfruit · 18/07/2019 13:51

I can see where your coming from Op but if you didn’t know who he was or that he’s a boy you could very easily think it was a girl.
