Bad school report

Just got my sons school report for year 2, it’s not good. Do we discuss the report with him?

I wouldn't be paying for a tutor in year 2.
Ed psychs have a massive waiting list in LA. I'd use tutor money to pay for private ed psych report if possible.
That'll give you an idea of how he learns, his strengths and weaknesses and advice on ways to teach him.

The school sound like they are on it if they are admitting he needs support, are providing the support and are getting senco involved.

Just make sure you feel confident you know what they are trying to teach him, by when and how you can help at home. Often you can play games etc to encourage and solidify what he's learning in school.
