And why?

I'm gravitating towards Storybrooke from OUAT

Yes nice thread OP i was thinking of starting a similar one.

recklessruby · 10/07/2019 23:32

Avonlea. As in Anne of Green Gables. Everything always turns out ok in the end and there are parties and dances all the time.
Or a post apocalyptic world with a handful of survivors who are living off the land and not doing the monday to Friday drudge.
Also facebook and instagram wouldnt exist so you could be as ugly as you want Smile

Itsreallyallovernow · 10/07/2019 23:36

Rutshire, aka Jilly Cooper land. Obviously I'd have to have money to go with it as otherwise I'd just be one of the bit part domestic help!

billynomatesagain · 10/07/2019 23:41

Davros you can go and live in Ambridge, I drive through it daily on the way to work.

mrssalvatore14 · 10/07/2019 23:44

Mystic falls for sure 😏

Singlebutmarried · 10/07/2019 23:48

Sunnydale

Angel

Singlebutmarried · 10/07/2019 23:48

Or the Winchester brothers Chevy Impala

HelenaDove · 10/07/2019 23:50

@PooWillyBumBum Fun fact The Moondance Diner which was used in Friends (the place where Monica had to dress up and wear the fake boobs) also appeared in The Equalizer a few times.

Not so fun fact. 12 years ago it was dismantled and taken to Wyoming and rebuilt there. Unfortunately the roof caved in under the weight of ice and snow the following winter.

Luxury condos now stand where the diner originally did.

Messyisthenewtidy · 10/07/2019 23:50

Stars Hollow

Jamiefraserskilt · 10/07/2019 23:52

Anywhere where I could still have my 30 year old face and figure, have the community like Dibley, have the handsome hero in the big house who adores me in his roguish manner, have close, supportive mates to have a giggle/cry/adventure with and never have to worry about health, wealth and happiness

overnightangel · 10/07/2019 23:53

Star Trek The Next Generation!

Xiaoxiong · 10/07/2019 23:54

Definitely the 24th century on the starship enterprise. A post industrial, post capitalist society with infinite energy, infinite replicated stuff and resources, climate change solved and a galaxy to explore.

Xiaoxiong · 10/07/2019 23:54

Haha cross post angel Grin

Noubliette · 10/07/2019 23:58

Yes, Zilla
The Thursday Next world is a bit of a 'one book to rule them all' including all the books above mentioned!

Mrstwiddle · 10/07/2019 23:58

Agree with a previous poster who said Avonlea, I even moved to Canada with the dream of living on the island, but alas, there are no jobs there...

And also wherever in Dorset/Cornwall the Famous Five hang out.

Oh and Dallas, Southfork ranch please.

HelenaDove · 10/07/2019 23:59

According to Wiki condos were due to be built but the James Hotel went in instead.

Withnailandaye · 11/07/2019 00:02

Looks wise would have to be where the elves live in Lord of the rings.

Or Harry potter land for all the shenanigans.

I've always had a thing for Catherine cookson type places but doubt if it would actually be much fun for a woman..

Bakingberry · 11/07/2019 00:05

Ambridge or a Disney princess forest with friendly animals to do my chores 😂

Milkand2sugarsplease · 11/07/2019 00:08

Stars Hollow - with Luke!!

Stillabitemo · 11/07/2019 00:08

gossip girl!

Davros · 11/07/2019 00:11

billynomates where is this Ambridge? Do tell. As long as I'm not a Grundy
Yes to Southfork and the Disney forest

ThereWillBeAdequateFood · 11/07/2019 00:18

Issac Asimov’s Gaia, used to love the idea of a collective consciousness across the whole planet.

I also love the idea of post apocalyptic farming that others have suggested. But I expect the dream would be vastly better than the reality.

Sammi38 · 11/07/2019 00:23

Rebecca’s world.

happygiraffey · 11/07/2019 00:23

Sylvania - it seems so nice and welcoming and the animals look as though they're kind and good natured. I've loved them all my life!

thefavourite · 11/07/2019 00:23

Downton Abbey - above stairs!
