To NOT return MILs calls?

PIL got back off holiday 2 days ago

Yesterday I received 3 missed calls and a voicemail saying she was calling for a chat and a catch up.

My DH has received NO missed calls!!

I made DH call her back, WIBU for not calling her back myself, despite the fact that she’s not even my mother!!

I always think of that when I hear the phrase now :)

I agree... but that's not the way the world actually works yet.

Many threads on here where DHs don't feel they have to do the housework/childcare, or MILs who pass notebooks full of birthdays to the new wife so she can take care of family cards, threads aplenty protecting the man's job at the expense of the woman's. Also plenty of data showing women are far more likely to be carers of elderly parents than men etc etc.

Exactly Lannie, you can hardly say you didn't know about the inequality that women are still having to battle, even in our own homes and relationships.

People claiming this, are just being obtuse for the sake of it.
