Ds has a week left in the school.
No idea if he's got a girlfriend
I dreamt about him and can't stop thinking about him.

OP posts:
blueluce85 · 20/07/2019 18:50

OP come back and update us and ignore all the haters! I really hope you gave your number in his card. I'm really hoping he says yes to a date!!

FelicisNox · 20/07/2019 21:53

Ignore the weirdos... be brave.

Feel out the situation at the party, be chatty (look gorgeous) ask why his spouse is not at the party (if he is alone) and hopefully he will say he doesn't have one. If he does, que cera cera and if not, at the end of the evening hand him a nice card thanking him for his kindness and hard work throughout the year and apologise if it would be awkward in any way, but would he like to go out for a drink sometime and put your number in the card.

Your son's leaving so if it doesn't go your way you'll never have to see him again.

The only things I would consider is how your son might feel about it but only you will know the answer to that and also, dreams have a lot to answer for... so don't assume you're in love with him after a saucy dream. Grin

MissChananderlerbong · 20/07/2019 22:26

Couldn't agree with ☝️ more!

HuggedTheRedwoods · 21/07/2019 18:32

Did you give it a try? @brotown It sounded an ideal plan to me!

darkpearl · 21/07/2019 21:52

I hope you left a note OP, life is too short for "what ifs". Whether anything comes of it or not, I wish you every happiness.

OrangeSunsets · 21/07/2019 23:14

Please give us an update!

BeUpStanding · 22/07/2019 00:39

OP I hope you decided to put your number in a card or have found some other way to test the waters! You really do have nothing to lose by asking him out. I cannot believe how batshit mental this thread went and how vicious some posters have been. It's really bizarre and I'm so sorry you had to read through it.

Best of luck in the future to you, your DS, and the brilliant HT - whatever happens, you all sound like great people! And it would be entirely understandable if you never came back to update. Your life doesn't deserve to be picked over by the bitches and vultures who decided to squat squabbling on your thread.

alligatorsmile · 22/07/2019 12:17

Well that went batshit fast!

Hoping the OP can weed out the in-fighters and come back to give us an update =)

NoTheresa · 22/07/2019 12:23

There are rarely updates in threads of this type.

NoSauce · 22/07/2019 13:04

It’s baffling why certain posters are so desperate for an update.

Aaarrgghhh · 22/07/2019 15:12

Why are you still on the thread then NoSauce?

NoSauce · 22/07/2019 16:24
Hmm
ImMeantToBeWorking · 22/07/2019 16:26

@NoSauce

If you think its so baffling see the bit highlighted in yellow...press that!!

@brotown hopefully it went well for you [grin[

To ask out the headmaster?
NoSauce · 22/07/2019 16:36

I don’t want an update, I’d be surprised if there was one, like I’ve said it’s those of you keep pestering the OP ( that left the thread days ago ) that bemuses me.

It’s a stranger on the internet not one of your best mates.

IHateUserName · 22/07/2019 16:47

Jeez some of the people on this thread have been really fucking nasty, not to mention really invested in forcing their opinion on everyone!

I say go for it op. You sound like a strong, smart & sensible woman, nothing like what some posters on this thread seem to be trying to insinuate. & from what you have said, I doubt the HT is so fragile that he'd have a nervous breakdown & flee the country if someone suggested meeting for a coffee. Flowers

supercee · 22/07/2019 17:02

NoSauce is still going. Brilliant.

HeadintheiClouds · 22/07/2019 17:06

What do you call those posters who come on to a thread to sneer that someone else is still on it? It’s on the tip of my tongue...

supercee · 22/07/2019 17:07

Dicks?

HeadintheiClouds · 22/07/2019 17:10

Do you think?

HeadintheiClouds · 22/07/2019 17:10

Given that you're the one who’s done it 🤣

supercee · 22/07/2019 17:14

It's not a sneer. It's more incredulity that NoSauce continually comes back to sneer others herself when she can just press the remove button. Hey ho.

NoSauce · 22/07/2019 17:25

Dicks?

If the cap fits and all that Wink

I haven’t been nasty or sneering or any of the other names that have been spouted on this thread to me and a few others, I disagreed with the majority of you.

And yes as I said earlier on in the thread it’s the Pom Pom wavers, who are just after an update that I find odd and a bit creepy.

supercee · 22/07/2019 17:31

I'm sure it'll fit you no problem.

Yes you've made it plainly clear, you don't want an update, you disagree blah blah. The majority of people are in the support OP camp and would love a positive outcome for her. What's odd and creepy about that? Constantly coming back is just antagonistic. I find that odder.

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 22/07/2019 18:50

I’m just catching up but hope you DID WRITE THE NOTE (said in the manner of Jennifer Anniston saying “I got off the plane) because life is nasty, brutish and short, so if you sense a chance of happiness you should grab it. By the bollocks. Because you’ve got a pair on you - you’ve done so well building your little unit. I know two widows and the one who has remarried was down to her. You deserve to be happy.

Excited101 · 23/07/2019 09:36

I hope you went for it op!
