Chub rub

stopitandtidyupp · 04/07/2019 20:19

Has anyone got any remedies for this?

Have you tried the bandallettes or snags chub rub shorts.

My friend says they are rubbish and a pair of cycling shorts will have the same affect.

I think that would be hot sweaty and a thrush breeding farm. AIBU?

Any other ideas?

Roll on deodorant. It works brilliantly.

LoubyLou1234 · 04/07/2019 20:21

Roll on deodorant! You can also buy anti chaffing products/ body glide type thing

Vanderlylecrybabygeek · 04/07/2019 20:21

I wear cheap cycling shorts from primark. £2 a pair. Also long legged pants from sloggi: but their much more expensive

BishopofBathandWells · 04/07/2019 20:21

Following with interest... for a friend, of course.

Vanderlylecrybabygeek · 04/07/2019 20:22

Asda little angels liquid talc is also supposed to work

Body Glide

It's brilliant stuff

I have a few pairs of jockey cycling shorts from Amazon. They are great and don’t make me feel too hot.

Treaclepie19 · 04/07/2019 20:24

I used snag tights for a wedding on the hottest day and they were AMAZING. I'd really recommend them. Much more lightweight than cycling shorts. Didnt budge. No soreness.

Kia123456 · 04/07/2019 20:25

I’ve tried roll on deodorant, anti chub rub shorts ( I think from simply be) and cycling shorts. Cycling shorts win for me! Didn’t roll up or feel too warm.

Makemeaname · 04/07/2019 20:25

Does anyone else get chub rub even with tights on? Not sure if any of these solutions would help with that or if I just need to suck it up.

Nothingsuitsmelikeasuit · 04/07/2019 20:25

I use the snag tights, they’re amazing and much cooler than cycling shorts!

MynameisMaximus · 04/07/2019 20:26

I've tried quite a few different things (anti chafing creams and comfort shorts from Evans, Big Bloomer, various places) and I'm finding the Snag shorts really good. They're lighter and more breathable than others I've tried and, for me, don't ride up.

Nothingsuitsmelikeasuit · 04/07/2019 20:26

I cross-posted with Treacle!

Sparkle733 · 04/07/2019 20:30

Talc!!

FourEyesGood · 04/07/2019 20:38

Following a painful walk in a maxi skirt on Hot Saturday (last weekend), I bought myself some long-length Sloggi pants. They’re 95% cotton (with 5% stretchy stuff) and I wore them today under a long skirt. It definitely made my legs more comfortable. For the record, I wore my normal pants underneath; it would have felt weird not to.
I sized up because I find Sloggis on the small side (I bought 16; I’m usually 14).
(Brackets a-go-go! Sorry!)

teenybean · 04/07/2019 20:41

I was at an attraction all day last Saturday (bloody hot) in a dress, I put sure max strength roll on deodorant on my thighs & it worked a treat! Usually my thighs would have been bleeding, but I didn't even have the rash I usually get at a bare minimum! Highly recommend

norrismcwhirtersfridgemagnet · 04/07/2019 20:45

Snag shorts are the best - I've tried the lot! Sloggi are ok but expensive and heavier.

Adoptthisdogornot · 04/07/2019 20:46

£12 anti rub shirts from Mark's and Spencers, bloody brilliant

UnicornCat · 04/07/2019 20:47

I used to do deodorant and it didn't always work so I've just bought some snags chub rub shorts. I've only just tried them on so haven't given them a proper test run but they're so soft and lightweight so I think it'll only be positive!

Stripes100 · 04/07/2019 20:47

I use bandalettes. Not the cheap versions but the actual ones. They are incredible and absolutely my desert island item!

GlitteryPenguin · 04/07/2019 20:49

Marks and Spencer do an anti-chafe short with “cooking technology” for under dresses - they really are good! They feel like cold cut off tights. I’ve worn them on holiday in 40+ degrees

GlitteryPenguin · 04/07/2019 20:50

*cooling ha!

blindedbytiredness · 04/07/2019 20:54

I've never tried any of the shorts type things but swear by udderly smooth cream! I can apply it once in the morning and be fine all day (even after 22k steps last Saturday!)

UsedtobeFeckless · 04/07/2019 20:54

After a horrible holiday experience I have these things that look like a cross between tights and cycling shorts. They are magic! I think they came from Evens, so comfy!
