Chub rub

stopitandtidyupp · 04/07/2019 20:19

Has anyone got any remedies for this?

Have you tried the bandallettes or snags chub rub shorts.

My friend says they are rubbish and a pair of cycling shorts will have the same affect.

I think that would be hot sweaty and a thrush breeding farm. AIBU?

Any other ideas?

Talc!! It’s amazing

MammaMia19 · 04/07/2019 20:56

Cotton cycling shorts in nude/skin colour from eBay. Like 3 quid or something a pair and so comfy!

JustLikeJasper · 04/07/2019 21:02

Asda liquid talc!

Fairymad · 04/07/2019 21:13

Another rec for snag chub rubs they are amazing and fab colours

queenofmycastlex · 04/07/2019 21:17

Another recommendation for Body Glide. It’s amazing, I have the blue one. You can get it from Amazon

Hahaha26 · 04/07/2019 21:25

Mitchum roll on Deodrant.... brill

cardibach · 04/07/2019 21:27

Please stop calling it chub rub.
However, bandalettes work really well to prevent discomfort from the totally normal meeting of thighs.

EvaHarknessRose · 04/07/2019 21:29

The marks and spence culotte slip is too long but good.

I also find avon skin so soft is good for this as well as as an insect repellent!

I have just bought some snag ones but haven’t worn yet.

VanessaShanessaJenkins · 04/07/2019 21:29

Asda liquid talc
89p

Body glide, been using it for years without any problems. If it's warm I tend to reapply once during the day.

Lottiebird · 04/07/2019 21:31

I use Lush Silky Underwear, works a treat!

Bubblysqueak · 04/07/2019 21:32

I've just bought the most amazing shorts/knickers from the big bloomers company they stop all chub rub and are cool and don't ride up. They wash really well to and the best bit is I had to buy an 8-12 as they come up big rather than 14-16

bridgetreilly · 04/07/2019 21:32

Solid deodorant works best for me.

TokenGinger · 04/07/2019 21:33

Dove roll on deodorant is a winner for me. Dove specifically. I've used Nivea before and it just didn't have the same effect.

I've also used the bands around the thighs and they work fantastically too.

thenightsky · 04/07/2019 21:34

Nowt works like the Big Bloomer Company knickers.

I got a pack of three anti-chafe short shorts. Bloody amazing.

timeforawine · 04/07/2019 21:40

Any of these any good at giving a smoother silhouette? Obviously I know they aren't control wear

LakieLady · 04/07/2019 21:42

Yep to all of that. I bloody love mine, and the MNer who first recommended them.

thenightsky · 04/07/2019 21:43

Big bloomers don't hold you in, but they are very smooth with no VLP. I wore a pair the other day for a function under a Body shaper thingy.

ashleighsmilie88 · 04/07/2019 21:51

I've got chunky thighs and I'm 32 weeks pregnant and swear by the ASDA Little Angels liquid talc!
I thought about getting the shorts but I don't think I could cope with the extra layer of clothing 🥵

Dec2019mumtobe · 04/07/2019 21:54

I have a pair of cotton knickers from Sloggi with legs. They're super comfy and I wear them under dresses.

Doublechocolatetiffin · 04/07/2019 21:56

My life has been revolutionised by using roll on deodorant. Mitchum unscented is what I use - bloody brilliant! I can wear dresses again

JuniperBeer · 04/07/2019 21:59

Lanacane anti chafing gel.

Or antiperspirant!

Xenadog · 04/07/2019 21:59

Another one to say the Snag chub rub shorts are pretty amazing. Really worth investing in a few pairs.

LovelyJubblee · 04/07/2019 22:00

Roll on deodorant type here too. I buy sure maximum protection and use on my thighs too

cushioncovers · 04/07/2019 22:01

How does the deodorant work? Don't your legs still rub together? I've got a pair from the big bloomer company.
