Is this weird ? Dh comes home from work parks on the drive which runs down along the house, then walks across the front garden so he can look in the window

He must do it surely to spy on what we are Upto as he is clearly going out of his way as it’s an l shaped house and the walks past he front door, across the front lawn then looks jn the window

I think it’s weird

He thinks I’m weird for thinking it’s weird

He’s reason he’s doing it to say hello?! Well be quick to come straight in the door

So I closed the blinds today so he couldn’t do it
And when he got him I’ve told him he is to stop doing it
He seems to have accepted it
As he only said ok and didn’t argue back
So we will see ....

Sometimes my DH likes to peek through the window and wave to us before coming in from work. Usually to catch us off guard but it a jokey way IYSWIM. It’s not creepy at all. We live on the Main Street too.

@Seeline I think it's this, he would like some fanfare when he comes in 😂

MsMightyTitanAndHerTroubadours · 02/07/2019 20:28

all my windows are too high to look in ...will I let you know when the house goes on the market?

yearinyearout · 02/07/2019 20:34

I'd just shut the blinds five minutes before he is due home (or when you hear the car). Once you've done that a few times he will get bored.

clairedelalune · 02/07/2019 21:02

I like to look in at my home from the outside; just taking a moment helps remind me why i work and confirms how pleased i am to be home. I also love warching my child when they haven't noticed i am back. Unless he's a control freak, I think it's sad that you would take that moment away.

I’m just here to say @JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff, that’s lovely.

icecreamsundae32 · 03/07/2019 15:03

@Lardlizard I was going to say is there another window upstairs you can "spy" on him spying on you from?

Rezie · 03/07/2019 15:07

So either he is very creepy controlling man trying to catch his wife doing something innapropriate or he is a sweet dad who wants to admire his lovely family afar Grin

He done anything to the garden recently?

I do a big loop around the back garden before I get go to the door when I get in at the moment because im obsessed with some grass seeding I’ve done

WhatchaMaCalllit · 03/07/2019 17:42

Lardlizard · 03/07/2019 17:54

No he’s about to get back soon and I’ve left the blinds open today.... if he looks in tomorrow they will be shut !!

I do this fairly often with the kids. It’s lovely to just watch them for a minute before all hell breaks loose when I step inside.

Plus, the look on their face when they see me is worth it.

If it’s just you & him, then yes. It’s weird
