Following on from this -it was just getting interesting. Someone posted about how Meghan called herself a feminist but hadn’t earned the title. I was interested to know how you earned the title- but the thread ended.

Yes it's a classic case of wanting your cake and eating it. They live super privileged lives, they were constantly allowing the press all around them before, now they want absolute privacy. Well stand down from office and go support yourselves. Sick of the pair of them. The country doesn't need them.

Bluerussian · 02/07/2019 15:48

Archie is not yet two months old. I don't think the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have done anything wrong and to compare them to the Cambridge family is not fair, Prince William will (most likely) be king one day. The role of each family is different.

“Yes and once again on his terms“

Who’s terms should it have been on?

Not faux anything. Why was the post birth press call wrong? How should he have done it?
Don’t get me wrong- I’d see the whole shooting match abolished tomorrow and i’d cheer the tumbrils along. But I can’t for the life of me see what was wrong with that press conference!

BertrandRussell · 02/07/2019 16:10

I don’t think there is any protocol around birth announcements, is there? The gold easel thing, and the “safely delivered” wording, but what else? Unless the hospital streps thing?

Meghan’s proper agent (acting agent) is a man and he’s never spoken to the press. www.krugercowne.com/

Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne and her husband Mark established Kruger Cowne Talent Management
Gina is still the Managing Director.

I'm assuming Meghan has cut ties with them completely?

LaurieMarlow · 02/07/2019 16:20

What ‘protocol’ is anyone taking about? The did the easel thing. Since when was standing on the Portland steps protocol? The Queen didn’t do it. She had all her babies at home.

BertrandRussell · 02/07/2019 16:25

Why on Earth should he have announced it? The press were there- it’s not as if anyone missed anything! And the baby was less than 12 hours old.......

I misunderstood your post MrsM & thought you had implied that Meghan's acting agent/old acting agent was employed by KrugerCrowne

@BertrandRussell
@MsMaisel
@LaurieMarlow
You’ve all given great fight back but the posters who continually criticise MM for trivial reasons such as the position of a clearly visible babies face will never admit their true reasons for disliking her.

After reading a lot of these comments, a part of me feel sorry for MM. Freedom of speech is great but sometimes people can be very cruel with their words to tear down others.

BertrandRussell · 02/07/2019 17:12

“Oh give it a rest. Harry has been criticised equally”
No he hasn’t! This is another example of the bizarre anti Meghan spectacles so many people seem to wear.

OKMorty · 02/07/2019 17:22

Oh give it a rest. Harry has been criticised equally .

Are you serious? I’m not a fan of MM because she’s increasingly coming across as a hypocritical “do as I say, not as I do” type - and no Ghanagirl, that is not racist - but if you really think Harry is equally criticised, that is some serious cloud cukkoo land specs being employed!

Ghanagirl · 02/07/2019 17:24

@MauritiusNext
You give it a rest you’ve been spouting crap on this thread all day

BertrandRussell · 02/07/2019 17:50

Anyway, @MauritiusNext could you explain how Harry got the press conference he did on the day Archie was born so wrong?

OP posts:
JaimeBronde · 02/07/2019 17:51

That's ok MrsM easily done.
Though I swear these posting boxes have a mind of their own, sometimes I write a post, then press preview to check it & poof it vanishes god knows where!

IWannaSeeHowItEnds · 02/07/2019 18:45

If you think that criticism of M and H is just about trivial matters (like photos), then you are not understanding the bigger picture (so to speak). They are symptomatic of a wider attitude - one that does not respect the give and take nature of public relations and the RF.
He who pays the piper etc. They depend upon public interest for their livelihood. People don't have an unquestioning love of the monarchy and if they wish to remain relevant (and funded) they have to play the game, like it or not.
It's not a great idea to make a big deal out of privacy while in the same week asking for lots of money. It does make people feel like a cash point.
