Nothing to do with all that's wrong with the UK, it's all that's wrong with humanity. Poor woman, and poor baby. Nothing more to be said really except I hope the man who did it is put where he can't do it again.

HomerDancing · 29/06/2019 20:51

Desperately sad.

Far2go46 · 29/06/2019 20:52

The people, the history, the geography, the climate?

Lemonlady22 · 29/06/2019 20:53

The sun....3 days of it and apparently its the end of civilization as we know it!!

Bixter · 29/06/2019 20:53

Of course it's all that's wrong in the UK - are you unaware of the immense knife problem here in London?

OP posts:
DrVonPatak · 29/06/2019 20:54

MirriVan, she was stabbed to death, she didn't die of pregnancy complications.

corlan · 29/06/2019 20:55

It's all that's wrong with men.

onalongsabbatical · 29/06/2019 20:55

Are you aware that violence against women happens all over the world in many forms? Are you trying to froth about London for some reason on the back of this poor woman's death? I think that's disgraceful, frankly.

BritWifeinUSA · 29/06/2019 20:55

It’s tragic, for sure. But it happens all over the world. Here it’s guns. There’s an even lower chance of survival for mother and baby when it’s a gun.

Bagadverts · 29/06/2019 20:59

A dreadful crime, which should be punished as such. Also shows some of the good in the skill and care that managed to save the baby.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 29/06/2019 21:03

And in America that poor woman was shot, her unborn child died, her shooter got off and she got charged. There is shit all over the world. Lots of it against women and lots by men.

@onalongsabbatical

Tbh I can't think of a polite way to respond to your ignorant post.

OP posts:
Cookit · 30/06/2019 06:22

Is it actually connected to the knife crime spree in London / dangerous gangs etc? Or is it a murder of a pregnant woman by her partner or a jealous ex or something? Because if the later, whilst also desperately tragic and an act of evil I don’t see what we can say it says about the state of the UK or London?

SaskiaRembrandt · 30/06/2019 06:36

I agree with onalongsabbatical, the OP is in incredibly poor taste.

Bixter · 30/06/2019 06:42

Please yourselves

You stick your heads in the sand, ignore the breakdown in society and the dreadful knife and gun culture here.

Mum, is that you?

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 30/06/2019 06:50

But onelongsabbatical is right op it is not as you've said "everything thats wrong with uk" yes there is a major knife crime empidemic in london at the moment.
But its not soley limited to london or indeed the UK, yes this poor woman is in london, its bloody tragic, absolutely horrifying and it is heartbreaking that its happened in the UK and its seems that the country is hetting more voilent by the day. But sadly it isn't a phenomon limited to just london or even the uk. Thats her point.

Your the one thats actually being fairly ignorant. So tje poor woman thats being charged with manslaghter in US doesn't matter, no??? She was attacked too, with a gun, america has a massive gun crime epidemic, she's being charged with killing her baby while the man who shot her gets away with it. Is that ok?

What about the women that get raped and murdered all around the world.

If you'd said all thats wrong with humanity, no one would have disagreed. If ypu think this is solely a UK problem then you are sadly wrong. Thats onelongsabatical point

YouJustDoYou · 30/06/2019 06:51

No gun and knife culture anywhere I've been or lived in the UK.

CherryPavlova · 30/06/2019 06:52

Do you read the Sun?

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 30/06/2019 06:52

No one is sticking their head in the sand bixter we agree its wrong horrifying and in every way unacceptable.

Its just not limited to the UK. its you thats failing to acknowledge that its a world wide issue so you stick your head in the sand and ignore the rest of the world

Bourbonbiccy · 30/06/2019 06:53

It's just so sad. When we watch the news is just do so sad how humanity conducts itself in both men and women.

Bourbonbiccy · 30/06/2019 06:57

Bixter, I think it quite acceptable for you to highlight one incident that has made you particularly sad and relate it back to the issues in the uk/ one area without listing all the horrendous things that happen in the world, we would be here all year.

A lot of it has to do with the funding to the police being cut by Theresa may, they are just so overstretched and the villains are sadly winning.

SaskiaRembrandt · 30/06/2019 07:10

Stop using the tragic death of a young person as an excuse to froth. It's really crass.
