I dunno, I'm in my 50's and love dancing, raving etc.

The80sweregreat · 30/06/2019 00:18

'Glaston old! '
A new kind of rave for the over 40s and beyond.

Lovechemicalbrothers · 30/06/2019 00:20

I loved Chemical Brothers just now

Lovechemicalbrothers · 30/06/2019 00:21

I'm in my, 50's, lots of raving 😎

Quintella · 30/06/2019 00:23

Jo Whiley should be at home tucked up in bed reading Woman's World and sucking on a Fisherman's Friend. And as for Mark Radcliffe, an actual grandpops!

Lovechemicalbrothers · 30/06/2019 00:29

Jo Whiley is gorgeous

Purplejay · 30/06/2019 00:33

Fuck off is it tragic! Why shouldn’t older people go / enjoy it? To be fair a lot of the bands / artists have been around for donkeys years!

RosesAndRaindrops · 30/06/2019 00:35

The op has gone. Wound us up and hopped it

Yup
Plopped and run Grin

NarcissistMum · 30/06/2019 08:20

OP explains all. ‘I work full time then look after 3 kids’ . If that’s how you define your life, you need to take a long look. Don’t make that your life. There is a world outside that. Just because you insist on living like that doesn’t mean you should make bitchy comments about others because you’re angry how your life has evolved.

BumandChips · 30/06/2019 09:16

Guess Jo Whiley, Mark Radcliffe, Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq, Edith Bowman and Zoe Ball shouldn’t be there then. I mean what do these embarrassing oldies know eh?

Spiceupyourlife · 30/06/2019 09:20

My SIL and BIL are both there 🤔 I’m mid 20’s but they’re in their 30’s and one of his parents went with them!

I don’t think there’s an ‘age limit’ on doing something you enjoy but I do think there’s age appropriate behaviour! The pictures I have seen would suggest that they strongly disagree!

But then again everybody is different! You couldn’t pay DH and I to go and live like that for the weekend 🙄

IfOnlyOurEyesSawSouls · 30/06/2019 09:23

I feel sorry for you OP for many reasons.

Baritriwsahys · 30/06/2019 09:25

I just read a rumour article in the sun that Jason may be attending with Kylie Grin

StoorieHoose · 30/06/2019 09:29

I'm rather hoping the Manics join Kylie for Some Kind of Bliss

LaLaLamp · 30/06/2019 09:35

I have never been to Glastonbury, but lots of other festivals. A couple of years back I saw the Pink Fairies and was actually very emotional at seeing the crowd, some yes, with Zimmer frames as they couldn't walk unaided. Not once did I think they were too old to attend, just thought it was awesome, proper old hippies from back in the day. OP needs a reality check in life.

Macca84 · 30/06/2019 10:19

Pray tell, oh righteous one - what exactly do these photos depict that isn't "age appropriate"? And omg they're in their THIRTIES!!

MyGastIsFlabbered · 30/06/2019 10:33

@ShinyMe I saw Muse at the beginning of the month and I'm going again in September. I imagine the set list will be virtually identical but it was such a phenomenal show that I'm really looking forward to it.

PJMasksGhekko · 30/06/2019 10:37

Eaudear Thank you Smile

ShinyMe · 30/06/2019 10:48

@MyGastIsFlabbered good, I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's definitely not for me though.

userxx · 30/06/2019 10:59

@MyGastIsFlabbered Muse are amazing live, I saw them at Glastonbury about 10 years ago and a few other places.

The80sweregreat · 30/06/2019 12:49

I just watched some of the chemical brothers on I player. Not my thing but Galvanise was good and the light show was amazing.
I like to hear lots of different types of music and get the background to it all. Too busy bringing up kids to appreciate 90 s dance music when it first started out.
You have to keep an open mind.

Sammi38 · 30/06/2019 12:52

It’s all about hunters wellies and face gems now...

sweeneytoddsrazor · 30/06/2019 12:56

Muse were absolutely brilliant earlier this month. Well worth a 2nd or even 3rd time of seeing. I also saw the Killers 2 years ago and I can honestly say I enjoyed last nights just as much

PolkadotLollipop · 30/06/2019 16:15

I couldn’t watch the Chemical Brothers set, as I have light sensitive migraines and the lights were insane. Just glimpses of clips on social media were bad enough!

PolkadotLollipop · 30/06/2019 16:53

Will we be communing here at 6ish for Kylie’s set, folks?

I might rewatch the Foals set on catch up before I pick DD up from work Wink
