ChristmasFluff · 29/06/2019 23:29

I only came onto this thread to say it's lucky no-one told Johnny Marr and the Pet Shop Boys just quite how tragic they are xx

notangelinajolie · 29/06/2019 23:30

Glasto is different and does tend to attract the middle aged/middle classes but yes, I do agree with the OP that there is something slightly tragic after a certain age.

ShinyMe · 29/06/2019 23:31

Ok, I have a question. Gigs are really loud. I know the site is big, but how come one band can be having a gig on one stage and another band on another one, without sound interfering with each other? When I've left early from Muse a few weeks back, I could hear it clear as anything from half a mile away.

Eustasiavye · 29/06/2019 23:31

Johnny Marr is a legend.

ShinyMe · 29/06/2019 23:32

What age is that @notangelinajolie? I'd hate to get it wrong and upset the OP.

StoorieHoose · 29/06/2019 23:34

He totally is @Eustasiavye

Quintella · 29/06/2019 23:35

It's slightly tragic to do things you enjoy after A Certain Age.

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 23:36

Johnny Marr was brilliant.

Jellykat · 29/06/2019 23:36

I too would love to know the appropriate cut off age for music enjoyment.

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 23:37

Hot chip have attracted the older crowd.

Quintella · 29/06/2019 23:39

They probably shuffled over on the zimmers thinking they were giving out free chips.

victopai · 29/06/2019 23:40

Your missing out. Music can be enjoyed at any age. Music brings people together regardless of age. Music is an art to be enjoyed regardless of age. There ain't a cut off point. (thank god) my director goes Glastonbury every single time he gets tickets. I can relate to him so much more knowing that he share a passion for musicians

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 23:41

Eh? What's that? Free chips?

Jellykat · 29/06/2019 23:43

And what pray, did the zimmer framed ones think The Chemical Brothers might give away as freebies Quintella? Grin

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 23:44

Eh? Free drugs now as well?
( shuffles over to the ' other stage' in their slippers)

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 23:44

The chemical brothers have used up all the loo rolls.

Quintella · 29/06/2019 23:46

Free drugs, free chips. Shuffle this way, Mavis Grin

We may even get a fumble with Ron and Bert if we play our cards right.

IAmAlwaysLikeThis · 29/06/2019 23:47

Not my thing these days, but if people want to go, why not? Live and let live.

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 23:48

They should do bingo there and clean up.

Jellykat · 29/06/2019 23:50

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 23:51
