I just realised I have Glastonbury to thank for my live music thing. I was idly watching in 2009 and Bruce Springsteen was on, who I remembered vaguely enjoying when Born in the USA was out in the 80s. His set was superb, and I had had some wine, and before I knew it I'd thought 'that looks fun' and I'd bought flights to Dublin and concert tickets for a week later and there I was at my first ever live gig in a stadium full of however many thousand people, and that was that. I've seen Bruce maybe 10 or 11 times now, and quite a lot of others (none as good, but that's just me).
I'm low key looking forward to the Killers later. I saw them a couple of years ago, they were decent. Nothing amazing, and more style than substance (I'm there for the music, not the fancy lights and sparkly costumes) but enjoyable, and a lot of hits.
