Agreed polkadot and iced purple. But I find being a live gigs always makes people look good even if you wouldn't look twice at them normally. It's the energy from a live performance I think

IcedPurple · 29/06/2019 20:44

OK.... so I could be his mum... if I'd had him when I was barely legal. So he's young, but not so young that I can't perv over him from a distance without feeling ashamed of myself.

PolkadotLollipop · 29/06/2019 20:44

I like a stocky type but beards aren’t usually my thing. I could be persuaded to make an exception for our man.

Chista · 29/06/2019 20:44

I dont think you can ever be too old for any festival. Glastonbury is nothing compared to the likes of Burning Man and some of the hardest ravers I met out there were well over their 60s

howdyalikemenow · 29/06/2019 20:44

I second and third that sentiment

Thurmanmurman · 29/06/2019 20:45

I’m 40 and I’d love to go. Couldn’t give a fuck if anyone thinks it’s ‘tragic’. You’re a long time dead.

RingtheBells · 29/06/2019 20:45

DS goes every year, I wouldn’t mind going, though obviously not with him Grin. I last went in 1984 when The Smiths were on, if I went now I would have to take the caravan so we had a toilet and bed and I don’t think I could be that organised to get tickets and all that, maybe when we have retired....

Quintella · 29/06/2019 20:45

I like the stocky and beefy types. And God knows I've fallen for the charms of many a musician in my time.

IcedPurple · 29/06/2019 20:46

Yes deffo. Probably wouldn't look twice at him if I passed him on the street. Which is fine as I highly doubt he would look twice at me either!

PolkadotLollipop · 29/06/2019 20:46

Totally right re the sex appeal of a rockstar. Though that finger waggling/dad pointing was distinctly gusset drying. He’s too young, tattooed, beardy for me too (oh yes and I’m married and all that jazz) but y’know. I’ll have a look.

howdyalikemenow · 29/06/2019 20:46

Last time I went was late 80s. I don't remember much! Grin

MrsMiggins37 · 29/06/2019 20:46

Neneh looks amazing. I remember her bump too. I had quite the girl crush on her

Almostflownthenest · 29/06/2019 20:47

Just watching Glastonbury and I think Janet Jackson is tragic. The audience look bored, one can barely hear her singing and it looks more like a dance show. Just think of all the fantastic acts they could have had on on a Saturday night.

howdyalikemenow · 29/06/2019 20:47

gusset drying
😂

ShinyMe · 29/06/2019 20:47

I've never even heard of Foals, but I'm enjoying this.

howdyalikemenow · 29/06/2019 20:48

The remind me a bit of echo and the bunnymen

Quintella · 29/06/2019 20:48

Janet Jackson's always been pretty dull. I think she was an odd inclusion. But it has gone a lot more mainstream.

TheadReaper · 29/06/2019 20:48

@OP how old are you? And what do you enjoy doing?

monkeytimesthree · 29/06/2019 20:48

@Almostflownthenest AGREE. Hardly electric atmos.

Never been a fan of Janet Jackson really. Always seemed a bit 'style over substance'

TantricTwist · 29/06/2019 20:50

If it wasn't so hard getting tickets, so crowded and expensive these days I would probably have gone every year despite being nearly 50.

I am toying with taking the DC now who have just hit their teens next year. DD definitely wants to go, DS probably not, he can go when he's ready for it all.

Last time I went was the mid and the late 90's cant remember much either other than it was brilliant and sunny each time. Never had a muddy experience thank god.

Quintella · 29/06/2019 20:50

OP, so what do you do for fun, aside from sit on MN being disapproving and shrewish?

PolkadotLollipop · 29/06/2019 20:51

I went in the year of the mudslide, ‘97. It was disgusting and EVERYWHERE.
