YANBU.

Witchofzog · 29/06/2019 16:38

Don't be ridiculous. I bet you are also of the 'Women over 40 should not have long hair' brigade too. If you enjoy something then age doesn't come into it

ConfusedandContrary · 29/06/2019 16:38

Don't be so ridiculous! What exactly is wrong with people(of any age) wanting to enjoy live music and have fun?

Zebedee88 · 29/06/2019 16:40

What age is too old? Genuine question. I'm hoping to go next year, never been a proper music festival, I'm going to be nearly 32...is that too old?

Kolo · 29/06/2019 16:41

I’d like to say I agree, to hide my jealousy that some of my friends are there having the time of their lives.

Grumpbum123 · 29/06/2019 16:42

Sod that.

Hedgehogblues · 29/06/2019 16:42

Totaly unreasonable

thedevilinablackdress · 29/06/2019 16:42

YABVU
All people over [insert age you think is old] should just go to the garden centre at the weekend for entertainment??

Vivavivienne · 29/06/2019 16:44

YABU. Totally unreasonable.

You’re never too old or too young for a festival.

Glastonbury isn’t just the bit you see onTV, it’s huge, with different areas, children’s areas, “hippy” areas. You can face paint, drink yourself into obscurity, learn Reiki, meet a Woad, dance at the main stage or sit in the sun at the back.

BumandChips · 29/06/2019 16:45

I assume you’ve never been OP?

Sigh81 · 29/06/2019 16:48

YABVU.

HTH.

JaneJeffer · 29/06/2019 16:48

What age?

Tttravelday394 · 29/06/2019 16:49

1 to 101 !!!

Sakura7 · 29/06/2019 16:49

I think it's far more tragic to be so judgemental about how people enjoy themselves.

Kylie is playing there this weekend and she's 50. Is she tragic?

monkeytimesthree · 29/06/2019 16:53

Actually I think she is. Botoxed up to the nines @Sakura7

Think it's a bit Hmmseeing mums on tour pretending to be down with the kids. Makes me cringe.

OP posts:
DaphneFanshaw · 29/06/2019 16:54

Nope, I think that's bollox.
I would love to go.
I quite often go out clubbing, to festivals and to concerts. I do it because I enjoy it. What's tragic about that?

PawsForPizza · 29/06/2019 16:54

Tragic no matter what your age.

I cannot think of anything worse

Kashali · 29/06/2019 16:54

Tragic at any age, performing or watching.
Used to be good about 40 years ago, just commercialised multi national companies now.

We used to get in through a hole in a fence that was only short, then wander through the field, nobody bothered whether you'd paid or not.
Sounds totally rubbish now and I'm sure the atmosphere is just as shit.

Procrastination4 · 29/06/2019 16:55

Sad outlook to have, OP. All types of music can appeal to people of different ages.

ConfusedandContrary · 29/06/2019 16:56

Just Mums? Who says that they're trying to be down with the kids? Perhaps they're just enjoying live music and having fun.

Witchofzog · 29/06/2019 16:56

Have you ever thought that they are just having fun rather than being 'down with the kids". I would rather still enjoy live music and be "tragic" than judgemental and potentially staid.

bowchicawowwow · 29/06/2019 16:56

I love Glastonbury as there is something for everyone regardless of age. My friends 70yr old Dad has gone with her to the festival this year. Good for him.

legrandesmeaulnes2 · 29/06/2019 16:57

Abu
Perhaps they like the music too !
I have teens and like me they like a huge variety of music styles which a festival like Glastonbury really accommodates .

LaurieMarlow · 29/06/2019 16:57

Fuck that.

If you’re jealous of people having a good time, be honest and own it.

legrandesmeaulnes2 · 29/06/2019 16:57

Whoops . Yabu
