I can have takeaway or make something easy myself.

If you could have anything, what would you have?

I wasn't alone but I had my choice last night - a burritto filled with peppers, onions, refried beans, super-food slaw, corn salad, lettuce, salsa, sour cream and guacamole Grin

Fish and chips

Pizza

Jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise

Curry flavour super noodles with pepper, mushroom and onion stir fry and chopped up merguez sausages (I invented this when there was nothing else to eat and it tastes divine)

Ouch. Commiserations, OP.

Did that myself once.
(Too much mad haste to get into the good stuff! Have since then only ever baked it in its actual woodeny box. Works just fine).

Hope it was delicious, even so, and that you enjoyed your peaceful evening to yourself?

If I'm home alone it's usually beans on thick white toast dripping in an obscene amount of butter with some really sharp cheddar grated on.

Or pizza.

Or a load of bakery bread with butter and some nice cheese.

There's a theme here Blush

Sadly DH is getting his food choice tonight... his selection? A chicken dinner. A fucking chicken dinner in this glorious sunshine. The only positive I can find in this is making double roast potatoes to snack on later.

babysharkah · 28/06/2019 16:56

Last time I was home alone I went to the nearby very nice butcher, bought a sirloin steak for £13, some bearnaise sauce in a pot and had it with rocket salad.

Took about 4 mins to cook and was bloody amazing.

There is no way I can justify £26 on two steaks though so I'm just waiting for the husband to go away again...

CaMePlaitPas · 28/06/2019 17:04

@Sammi38 Can we be best friends? Grin

For anyone who is pregnant or just cutting down on alcohol Erdinger lager is really good as is Carlsberg non alcoholic lager. Not sure if you can buy Carlsberg in the supermarket as I have only had it on draught.Sorry for derailment but noticed a couple of people wanting lager and not being able to indulge!

DennisSkinnersMolotov · 28/06/2019 17:26

Heiniken alcohol free is also good and readily available.

Oblomov19 · 28/06/2019 19:43

Yum.
Steak, chips, stuffed mushrooms.
Takeaway curry.

My son played with and broke the wooden box! Hence the bowl and the subsequent burning. Sad times
