I can have takeaway or make something easy myself.

If you could have anything, what would you have?

OP posts:
YahBasic · 27/06/2019 14:16

If I didn’t have the flu, then a Chinese. Sweet and sour chicken, seaweed and prawn toast.

Not sure what I’ll manage tonight in reality. At this rate, an apple and a hobnob.

Sammi38 · 27/06/2019 14:17

Definitely takeaway!!

A nice Indian takeaway, onion bhajis, chicken tikka, mushroom rice and peshwari naan. With full fat chilled Pepsi.

A big bag of Maltesers after!

magneticmumbles · 27/06/2019 14:19

Crisps with melted cheese.

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 27/06/2019 14:21

Oh, actually - I might get some blue cheese and crusty bread. DH hates blue cheese.

Ticklingcheese · 27/06/2019 14:25

Sorry for derailing, will stop now.

Hope you can read Danish.

I would cook and make all the things I don’t prepare because my partner is not keen - and it seems a bit mean to make things he doesn’t like when he’s here.

Hot today so gazpacho and/ or smoked salmon with a side of melon, mint and cucumber salad. I remember one summers day pre baby I basically just lived off salmon gravadlax and melon. So good. So not something he’d eat.

The other day I made myself a tuna mayo cheese toastie, and added capers and onions for added obnoxious delight.

I know how to party when eating solo ;)

goose1964 · 27/06/2019 14:27

I'd have a burrito from the stall in the Arndale market in Manchester.

Ninkaninus · 27/06/2019 14:29

Thank you, yes I can. I’ve never looked up how to make it myself!

Ninkaninus · 27/06/2019 14:29

(Also very sorry for derailing)

Sammi38 · 27/06/2019 14:31

@ZenNudist I’m going to pinch that recipe, sounds very tasty and quick.

Although I’ve never heard of kabanas sausage.

Sparkle733 · 27/06/2019 14:35

Pizza..
Tub of Ben and Jerry’s!!!!

Sweetooth92 · 27/06/2019 14:36

Either
A french stick with lashing of proper butter and potted beef 😳 loved this as a child and still my guilty pleasure
Or, (or more likely followed by after eating the beef spread and bread while ordering and awaiting delivery)
An Indian takeaway. Tandoori mix saag paneer with fried onion rice and a cheesy garlic naan bread, or a beef Kashmiri with pilau rice and cheesy garlic naan. Either Indian with piles of poppudams and several pots of mango chutney. I’d probably then top it off with a large kinder bueno milkshake and some warm cookie dough and ice cream from the dessert shop that deliver round the corner.

In my defence I’m currently pregnant, starving and throwing up at least 50% of everything I eat so I’m justifying being excessive!

whothedaddy · 27/06/2019 14:36

I normally just do eggs and avo on a toasted muffin with chilli if i'm dining alone. Yummy, easy and nutritious.

followed by a cup of tea and a mini magnum (aldi special obvs) and sole use of the remote control.

I'd go for a run first though knowing I could be out as long as I wanted.

bettycat81 · 27/06/2019 14:39

A chicken doner kebab

FlatPackPat · 27/06/2019 14:46

Uh I'm so jealous OP!

I love Thai but DP doesn't so that's usually my go-to if he's out (which isn't very often sadly!).

So mine would be chicken midnight red curry with coconut rice and assorted sides.

Enjoy!!

Mojitomogul · 27/06/2019 14:53

I'd order thai or sushi Grin something like salmon teriyaki with sticky rice and vegatable tempura, not too heavy to eat in this summery weather and slightly healthier than just Chinese or Indian!

cricketmum84 · 27/06/2019 14:53

Ooh also Japanese style udon noodles. There's only one takeaway in our local area that does these and DH doesn't like anything from there so would definitely order them if it was just me!

Alorralorralaughs88 · 27/06/2019 14:55

Asdas American sizzler pizza with chilli oil on, tub of ben& jerry's half baked ice cream and a few bottles of either corona or modelo.

iklboo · 27/06/2019 14:55

Crusty bread, real butter, continental meats, cheeses, nice crisps, lovely chutney.

BarryMcguigan · 27/06/2019 14:57

Marks and spencer mac n cheese (or the Waitrose one now I'm vegan) skinny oven chips with too much salt and black pepper, mountain of petit pois and lashings of Tabasco

AquaPris · 27/06/2019 15:00

Pasta pomodoro - made with the best tomatoes with salad on the side

Or

Duck in plum sauce with chips and cavolo Nero

If easy:

2 jackets with beans and cheese 😳 or a fish finger sarnie in white bread 😈

SecretWitch · 27/06/2019 15:01

I would make fondue with the crusty bread and the have Ben andJerry’s cookie dough ice cream. After I would climb into my bed with a book and half glass of wine.

AquaPris · 27/06/2019 15:03

Who doesn't get noodles with beansprouts with a Chinese? Psychos

sergeilavrov · 27/06/2019 15:04

Can’t wait to be able to eat sushi again. I’d have Ikura Maki, lots of Tuna Sashimi, unagi urumaki, dragon roll with scallops inside, tempura shrimp, a ton of ginger, and absolutely no wasabi in sight. Then a slightly chilled 1 riyal chocolate brownie. Heaven.

sergeilavrov · 27/06/2019 15:06

Or kadai with butter naan, and chicken hariyali. I wish I was hungry and could go wild Blush
