I can have takeaway or make something easy myself.

If you could have anything, what would you have?

Definitely indian food - always a winner!
Who would choose a boring salad Confused

arseholewednesday · 27/06/2019 13:36

@AyBeeCee10 What would you order?

cleowasmycat · 27/06/2019 13:37

Crispy beef
Kung Pao Chicken
Egg Fried Rice
Seaweed
Satay Sauce for the fee Prawn Crackers

5foot5 · 27/06/2019 13:37

Oh I would have liver.

Seriously, I hardly ever get to have it because both DH and DD dislike it. I have this recipe I have used since I was a student where you cut the liver up into very small thin strips and then toss them in seasoned flour with herbs and lemon juice. Then because it is cut small you can cook it really quickly, 2 - 3 minutes, so it is still really tender. I would eat it with rice in to which I have stirred grated cheese and chopped tomato (I only ever do rice like this for this dish!) and probably sprinkle peanuts on the top.

I could have written this.

It's a massive no to liver Envy

I would either go with a pizza (cooked from frozen), or macaroni cheese on toast (DH isn't particularly into either of these so they are my go to when he is not around!

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 27/06/2019 13:40

This will be me next week! Last time I found somewhere that would deliver me a posh kebab - one made with grilled skewers, not donner meat. It was lovelySmile

If I could guarantee the time, I'd do something DH can't (allergies) or won't eat - either spaghetti carbonara, or liver and onions. But DD is bound to take an age to settle, so I'll probably just have something delivered, or make a sandwich.

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 27/06/2019 13:40

And drink wine. There will definitely be wine.

Ticklingcheese · 27/06/2019 13:41

Same situation here, actually though of posting exact same Smile.
CBA to cook too much, I have left over roast beef, guess I'm stuck with that, but would love to do something nice with it.

My suggestion (if I could be bothered making it) would be grilled portobello mushrooms with parsley and garlic butter.

BlueMerchant · 27/06/2019 13:42

Pineapple & tuna pizza with garlic bread and potato wedges (coleslaw dip)

arseholewednesday · 27/06/2019 13:42

I would stretch to making eggs bread with loads of salt

I’m with @beamur Grin

And possibly mac and cheese.

floribunda18 · 27/06/2019 13:45

Loads of sushi and wine.

karala · 27/06/2019 13:46

I'd have chow mein

Ninkaninus · 27/06/2019 13:47

Haven’t RTFT yet, so I might change my mind...but today I’d have a half crispy duck, all to myself!!

Mmmmmmm crispy duck.

Ninkaninus · 27/06/2019 13:48

With beer!

MatchSetPoint · 27/06/2019 13:48

Homemade crispy chilli king prawn with garlic broccoli and fried rice!

DontCallMeShitley · 27/06/2019 13:50

A huge salad with grated cheese mixed in, a splash of olive oil and covered in Heinz salad cream, with soggy white sliced bread and French butter. And chips.
I would have followed it with a whole pack of Magnums but have just discovered what is in them now, so won't be buying them again.

arseholewednesday · 27/06/2019 13:50

Is there anything nice in Marks and Spencer?

OP posts:
ToffeePennie · 27/06/2019 13:50

If it was me I’d order chicken noodle soup, sweet n sour chicken balls, egg fried rice and then I’d order chocolate fudge brownies and vanilla ice cream with waffle chunks from the takeout dessert place near me.

Grumpbum123 · 27/06/2019 13:50

Jacket potato tuna mayo and cheese
Wine

Ninkaninus · 27/06/2019 13:50

@5foot5

My mum used to cook liver like that, and it was one of the first dishes I learnt to cook. We had it with rice, sautéed onions and bernaise sauce. It’s really quite tasty cooked like that.

cricketmum84 · 27/06/2019 13:50

I would literally have what I'm having tonight! Everyone else is having pasta and meatballs but I'm the only veggie so I'm dry frying wild mushrooms with garlic, add in some soft cheese and a little cream, twist of black pepper and mix in cooked tagliatelle. It's gorgeous and feels so indulgent.

Ticklingcheese · 27/06/2019 13:50

Oh ninkaninus, crispy duck! Am in DK, nowhere to get that here 😢.

ButDoYouAvocado · 27/06/2019 13:52

Oh god I'd go straight to the M&S party food section to grab enough nibbles to feed 6, then I'd get some of their vanilla cheesecake. Next in the basket would be a bottle of Chablis/Sancerre or whatever you fancy. I might even throw in a bag of crisps to eat in the car.

ZERO FUCKS GIVEN

Enjoy!
