How are people not more outraged? And no, tourists do not visit the UK specifically because of the royal family.

If the absence of a cogent argument as to why H&M are more objectionable than the rest of them isn't enough to make people stop pursuing a vendetta, nothing will.

But other Royals did get as much.
Some of the stuff said about Kate was terrible and she still gets it, just not as much as someone new came along to take her place and be whipped instead.
It's disgusting I agree but for the most part it's not based on racism.

Neither Kate or Meghan have received anything like the abuse Sarah Ferguson got and I just can't imagine how much worse it would be in this day and age of social media.

I never accused you of racism and instead of continually denying that hate directed at MM is anything to do with her race why don’t you stop and actually consider it might be.
Sarah Ferguson sucked on a man who wasn’t her husbands toe outside, pretty sure Meghan hasn’t done anything like that but I’m sure some conspiracy theorist will come along and insist she has.

Actually, Edward rates above Kate and I think William and Harry in terms of number of engagements carried out. Just because he's not photogenic (and wedded to unflattering 90s style double breasted jackets) his work ethic shouldn't be dismissed.

I think even Andrew Envy also carries out more engagements than the queen's grandchildren. They are just less glam and obviously older royals at worthy causes doesn't sell papers.

I hope so too @findingmyfeet12 but even if it is, it's a shame people immediately get defensive and don't stop to reflect on it and consider they might unwittingly be saying something racist. I mean, talking about "genuine" racism is a bit Gaslighting 101.

Anne and the DoE are popular with a type who like that jolly hockey sticks no nonsense "British" approach which is actually thinly veiled rudeness and arrogance.

If people believe MM rumours they should also be prepared to believe the rumours of Anne being very abrupt and the DoE being a thoroughly unpleasant, entitled man.

Sorry was I meant to be seeking yours? You seem upset. Do you find another black person disagreeing with you upsetting? You appear to be getting personal.

It's alright. Black and other PoC can think differently, I know it's scary...but really it's ok.

@Ghanagirl first of all I said in my first post that some of it might be racist but not all and I've certainly not seen any racist comments on this thread.
Let's turn that around and I will politely suggest to you to consider not all posts against Meghan are racist, in fact as I said earlier I think it's more likely based on jealousy from what I've read but even then I think there are many people who just simply don't like her for whatever reason.
That is human nature, not everybody likes everybody.

I don't know how old you are but I'm old enough to remember the sheer amount abuse and vitriol that Sarah received and it started long before her toe sucking antics.

As I have pointed out numerous times in this thread neither you or anyone else in this thread know the colour of anyone's skin unless they choose to say so, so accusing a poster of Gaslighting is just as bad as accusing a poster of being racist when you have no evidence as such.

I don't actually care what skin colour a poster has, if they want to call out these petty accusations of racism without any evidence then yes it absolutely does undermine genuine racism.

Why is any black person who complains about racism told this, it’s to shut us up.
I live in beautiful 4 bedroom house in a London suburb, great DH beautiful kind smart children but racism still infiltrates our lives.
I don’t see why I should put up with it.
