That reminds me of a bedsit I went to view about 25 years ago in London. Equally shitty and equally expensive! Plus ca change & all that.

hibbledibble · 24/06/2019 14:15

I'm not surprised in London. I've seen worse! At least the kitchen isn't a microwave on a table.

QueenOfWinterfell · 24/06/2019 14:15

Is it legal? If it is, it shouldn’t be

darkriver19886 · 24/06/2019 14:15

Wow! My living room is twice the size of that and I pay half the cost for my flat. I'm guessing you are paying for a premium?

Thisnamechanger · 24/06/2019 14:18

It's not even in the nice bit of Stokey. I do want to live alone but not that badly Grin

Purpleartichoke · 24/06/2019 14:22

I would
Gladly live in a space like that if the other option was having a roommate.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 24/06/2019 14:23

That is about the size of my kitchen. I'm missing a trick here. Shove in bed in there and I can get some poor sucker to pay me rent.

I cant imagine anyone wanting sexy times next to the quiet humming of the fridge and the dripping of a leaky tap.

tenlittlecygnets · 24/06/2019 14:24

Wow. Tiny and awful. No seating area?!

orangeshoebox · 24/06/2019 14:25

that's a bed-shit

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 24/06/2019 14:25

This place is my all time favourite shithole

Thisnamechanger · 24/06/2019 14:26

Presumably when you put your clothes horse up you have to leave the house until they're dry

JamesBlonde1 · 24/06/2019 14:26

Greedy, tight L/L that's bloody awful. Squeeze em in and bleed em dry!

myself2020 · 24/06/2019 14:28

If my alternative would be a house share, i would take it happily!

TooManyPaws · 24/06/2019 14:29

That's worse than a traditional tenement single end where you at least got a box bed and slightly more room.

CloserIAm2Fine · 24/06/2019 14:29

I Lived somewhere similar for six months, as a transition from rooms in flatshares to renting a proper flat on my own. It was shit, but I knew it was only for six months. I had boxes of stuff piled up everywhere, no storage space. It was very very damp and freezing cold. I wouldn’t let anyone visit me there!

The plus points were it was cheap and very close to work! But I was delighted to leave it to move to a proper flat “I have walls! And rooms! I can walk from room to room!”

HollowTalk · 24/06/2019 14:29

I wish they'd given the room dimensions. I thought the bed must be one where you store everything in the base, but it doesn't look like it, does it?

HollowTalk · 24/06/2019 14:30

£89 per month council tax to live there!

CSIblonde · 24/06/2019 14:31

That's bigger than many of the ones I've seen in NE London. One was literally the bed touching the cupboard under the sink. Landlords who accept DSS in London are of the opinion you should be grateful for a cupboard. Luckily I got a decent sized studio in the end as it stipulated over 30 & single female so not many takers. (which prob isn't legal either).

LlamaDrama20 · 24/06/2019 14:32

I sometimes dream of having a city studio/bedsit, but in my mind it's always like one of the IKEA 25m sq ones : www.ikea.com/gb/en/ideas/inspiring-ideas-for-a-tiny-studio-1364387173277/

Not a bed-shit like this!

Eustasiavye · 24/06/2019 14:32

Wow I would hate to have to live there.

Thisnamechanger · 24/06/2019 14:34

Oh I love that Ikea studio! If only...

lyralalala · 24/06/2019 14:34

By the looks of the drawer tower you keep everything next to the shower.

There doesn’t appear to be a sink in the bathroom

FriarTuck · 24/06/2019 14:35

Do you have to kneel on the toilet to brush your teeth in the basin on top of it?!

HugsAreMyDrugs · 24/06/2019 14:35

£650 a month to live in a bedroom!

Shock.

adaline · 24/06/2019 14:35

I don't get why anyone would want to live in London that badly! That's triple what we pay on our mortgage for a house!
