Enough to prompt a neighbour to call police?

I think that it is really seedy that we could end up with a PM who moves his young live-in lover into 10 Downing Street with him.

In his treatment of women Boris is no better than Donald Trump. I am very sad that this country might, indeed probably will, have such a PM.

FancyRibbon · 22/06/2019 14:58

Yes but also there will be pressure on Carrie Symonds to marry him if he gets voted in, which if things are already volatile between them could be disastrous for her. Sad

Allison Pearson blaming it on the neighbours on Twitter Im liking some of the replies

We really need to name and shame the #Boris neighbours. Maybe record their blameless, unshouty lives and give the tape to a national newspaper. Anyone know who they are?

SusieOwl4 · 22/06/2019 15:12

So would it make a difference if it was her shouting and throwing and smashing things ? It was routed he was the calm one ?

SusieOwl4 · 22/06/2019 15:13

Reported he was the calm one

carla1983 · 22/06/2019 15:14

It isn't ideal for a PM to be involved in an altercation like this but I think the posts here are quite simply, politically motivated. People who don't want Brexit and suspect that Boris might deliver it.

Kaiylee · 22/06/2019 15:19

I absolutely do not support him nor do I think he should be PM. However the same can also be said for Jeremy Hunt and Michael Gove.

I think they have all made some incredibly self centred and short sighted decisions during their time in parliament, some of them frankly insane/dangerous.

I do not trust any of them. There is no one in the Tory party I trust with the top job right now. Literally no one.

The Tory government has fucked over the poor, disabled and struggling families. The fact BJ wants to cut taxes for the rich while disabled people are relying on food banks and committing suicide due to the poverty trap they are in shows just how fucked up the government is right now.

I hate them all. I wish we had a viable and credible alternative. The country needs a serious reorganisation. We need someone who will put the needs of the many above those of the few.

SusieOwl4 · 22/06/2019 15:23

I agree that posts here are jumping to conclusions about who did what which is actually quite insulting . If it was her doing the shouting and throwing of plates are you putting out a plea to poor boris to leave her ? Boris was actually a good mp to his constituents . Will he be a good prime minister ? Tbh I think he will either be very bad or very good . Don’t be misled by the confused baboon persona. He is not like that when you meet him in real life. But I think power has gone to his head a bit and this might be a job too far. But I am willing to give him a chance .

The big element in the Boris story isn’t that there was a heated argument, it’s that the police were called.

The police were called by the same person who recorded Boris and gave the story to the Guardian.

Well, that's the understatement of the year.

carla1983 · 22/06/2019 16:19

If it were Jeremy Corbyn who was rowing with his wife, I bet some on here would be taking a completely different view of it.

Cinammoncake · 22/06/2019 16:25

Quite gobsmacked by this

M1Mountain · 22/06/2019 16:50

Unless we crash out (which I thought parliament had voted against) or Boris comes up with a better deal I really don’t see how he can deliver it any better than TM. Boris bumbling and lies can’t make the impossible happen.

BertrandRussell · 22/06/2019 17:04

“If it were Jeremy Corbyn who was rowing with his wife, I bet some on here would be taking a completely different view of it.”

I agree. But not, I suspect, in the way you mean.

Cinammoncake · 22/06/2019 17:08

I disagree. But then I loathe Corbyn anyway. But Boris is even making him look less of a worse option (although I wouldn't vote for either)

FancyRibbon · 22/06/2019 17:09

FFS this is not a political argument.
ALL of politics suffers if we as the public tolerate this kind of behaviour in politicians. Whatever party they are from. It’s completely unacceptable whoever it is.

FancyRibbon · 22/06/2019 17:11

Same here. I can’t vote for either Johnson or Corbyn.

Alsohuman · 22/06/2019 17:13

Alison Pearson is an odious woman. Boris can do no wrong in her eyes.

minisoksmakehardwork · 22/06/2019 17:19

*Still a better option than Hunt...

At this point it’s like choosing your favourite venereal disease...*

LadyGAgain · 22/06/2019 17:21

Mine too

Dogsaresomucheasier · 22/06/2019 17:37

I fear that many who are okay with the Conservative party being in power, and Boris as a PM, probably don’t share my concern about his lack of respect for women in general.

My daughter went to Warwick uni’s open day yesterday, utterly devoid of shame or looking to address it’s issues following the rape chat scandal!

I think I want my own island, anyone coming?

Smokeonthewater · 22/06/2019 19:16

Me, I’ll go in a heartbeat!

woman19 · 22/06/2019 19:23

I have no doubt that his popularity and vote share will go as a result of this 'incident':

with the intellectually and physically flaccid white males who are the majority members of the tory party;

and the sheeple who allegedly have the 'will'.

No offence intended to sheep, of course.
