So here we are in sunny Menorca celebrating a friend’s big birthday. In a villa with a pool , table tennis , pool table, beer in the fridge, music. Arrived Friday and so far every night they’ve been out for a last beer after a night out. So ...... they went shopping to get food for a bbq 4 hours ago ... are we being unreasonable

Are you and friend sitting at home like good little wifeys waiting for 'Husbands'? Have they left kids with you?

Tell them you're going out tomorrow and leaving kids with them. And do it.

This has all the hallmarks of being very entertaining!

I wouldn't let anyone start a bbq tonight though.

We are away celebrating a friends birthday, in a villa with all sorts to entertain us and plenty of booze.

However, our husband's insist on still going to the pub for a nightcap each night.

And, they have just been to get bbq supplies and they've been gone 4 hours, clearly sneaked off to the pub again!

I think I get it - the men keep swanning off and leaving the women behind, perhaps with DC to look after - the men are behaving as though they are on holiday but their wives are supposed to carry on doing all the service work in a different location.
