To ask for your best crime dramas

In bed with a bad back. Bored and in pain so watching TV for distractions.

I love watching crime dramas. I don't mind stand alone episode stories but prefer watching stories that run over a few episodes. I really don't like anything super natural. Just a story with a mystery.

I feel like I have watched most of them but there must be some I have missed?

Am I unreasonable to ask for suggestions?

I have even watched a lot of European ones.

I mean dramas such as

The killing, The tunnel, Unforgotten, Baptiste and the missing, Cardinal,Guilt, Paranoid, Safe house, Absentia, Happy valley ,Luther, The sinner.

There must be some I have missed?

Marking my place

EggysMom · 15/06/2019 12:47

I'm actually thinking of finding and watching Hinterland, it's had so many votes on this thread Grin

Whatsername7 · 15/06/2019 12:47

The first season of True Detective is brilliant. Criminal minds season 1-11 are also brilliant. The later criminal minds are not.

Awrite · 15/06/2019 17:01

Another vote for Justified. All 6 seasons are now on Amazon Prime. Modern day cowboy cop (well US Marshall), set in Kentucky.

Bloody brilliant.

Synecdoche · 15/06/2019 17:05

Ripper Street is great. I watched it on Prime.

MagicKingdomDizzy · 15/06/2019 17:08

Line Of Duty is fantastic.

BiscuitsWithEverythingPlease · 15/06/2019 17:10

Follow The Money. It's a scandi thriller with English sub titles but easy to follow. We were hooked and really enjoyed as there were some good plot twists to keep you guessing. Marsellies was good too, again subtitles in English.

Hortz · 15/06/2019 17:11

I loved Hinterland, shame it was axed.
I've recently enjoyed as New Zealand crime / psychological drama called The Bad Seed.

BiscuitsWithEverythingPlease · 15/06/2019 17:13

Shetland was great
Vera is always easy to watch
Maigret with Rowan Atkinson. Set in France, in English. Subtle rather than thriller but very good.

Twotome · 15/06/2019 17:19

The first couple of pages of this thread Grin

I feel like I need to watch Hinterland now, just to see if it was worth all the recommendations Smile

Skinandbones · 15/06/2019 17:20

We are watching waking the dead again on catch up, about nine seasons, some a little spooky, love watching them.

AnnaDine · 15/06/2019 17:22

Another vote for The Wire

Insieme · 15/06/2019 17:47

The Doctor Blake Mysteries

SavageBeauty73 · 15/06/2019 17:54

@Skinandbones What are you watching it at

SavageBeauty73 · 15/06/2019 17:55

Oops @Skinandbones what are you watching it on? I would love to watch it from the start. I've always fancied Trevor Eve!

ThanosSavedMe · 15/06/2019 17:56

Has anyone watched Thirteen? It’s on iPlayer. Love Jody Comer

Beheuehyu · 15/06/2019 18:10

@Handsoffmysweets where can they be watched (seen appropriate adult and while it gave me nightmares I enjoyed it)

Beheuehyu · 15/06/2019 18:11

Also has anyone watched the US version of broadchurch on Netflix? I haven’t but wondered if it’s different enough t bother

QuestionableMouse · 15/06/2019 18:15

@Awrite

Ooh fab. I have prime but hadn't seen it on there. I'm glad someone else agrees, every time I mention it I feel like no one has a clue what I'm on about. 😂😂

NavyBerry · 15/06/2019 18:23

I really liked Vera!
