How much to pay for a window clean on a 3 bed semi detached house.

Hi all, got a window cleaner coming today to clean our average size 3 semi detached house. I know the guy he charges £6 for a clean.

OH thinks that’s a bit cheap and he’s sure they will do a rubbish job. But seems okay to me??

Our windows aren’t overly filthy. Just need a freshen up where we can’t reach safely ourselves.

How much would you expect to pay on a 3 bed house??

We pay 12 for our 3 bed semi. 6 does seem very cheap.

Youvegotafriendinme · 10/06/2019 09:29

We have the front only done and it’s £5 and he does a good job. Comes every 4 weeks

Hollowvictory · 10/06/2019 09:30

Mine is £15 I have 25 windows. £6 is fine.

Babdoc · 10/06/2019 09:30

I pay £5.50 for a 4 bed detached, OP, but I’m in rural Scotland. It might be more expensive in cities or down south.

Pipandmum · 10/06/2019 09:31

Wow that is cheap! Think how long does it take, they have to get there etc. Just let them do it then decide if you want to continue.

IVEgottheDECAF · 10/06/2019 09:33

We only have the front done, 5 windows £3.50

barrelohflaughs · 10/06/2019 09:34

We pay £5 every 2 weeks for a 3 bed detached with 13 windows, the front door and french doors.

NeverSayFreelance · 10/06/2019 09:34

Mine is £6 for a 2 bed semi detached

Boom45 · 10/06/2019 09:35

I've got a 3 bed terrace and we have a "professional" conpany - with the poles and stufd rather than ladders and a bucket. Comes 6 times a year and charges £15. It's bit pricey but our house is a funny shape so the cheap guys with ladders can't get to all the windows!

Lauren83 · 10/06/2019 09:35

Ours is 3 storey mid terrace town house and we pay £15 for

6 windows
Conservatory windows (not roof)
3 skylights

PutyourtoponTrevor · 10/06/2019 09:39

£6 for a 3 bed semi here and he does a fantastic job

The80sweregreat · 10/06/2019 09:40

thats cheap !! I pay 11.50 for 3 bed semi , but he does have to clean some patio door windows, so maybe thats why its a bit more. there is one window he cant reach.
he always puts it up 50p once a year and uses my outside tap for fresh water. he is cheaper than some others though, some of them want 15.00 pounds.

Oopsy41 · 10/06/2019 09:40

We pay a fiver for 3 bed semi every fortnight and he does a great job

BrilliantYou · 10/06/2019 09:44

£5 once per month for 3 bed semi

Disfordarkchocolate · 10/06/2019 09:46

We pay £8 for the front and back to be cleaned, they use a long pole/brush. It's not ideal but they are very reliable.

CreakingKnees · 10/06/2019 09:50

I pay £5 once a month for my windows cleaning. That is for front, back and sides, including a patio door.

BlagMyChicken · 10/06/2019 09:53

We pay £20 for 18 windows. We’re just outside of London though, so maybe more expensive than where you are generally?

Namechangeishard · 10/06/2019 09:57

3 bed £10 for 18 windows plus patio doors.

OkMaybeNot · 10/06/2019 09:59

Jesus we pay £15 for a tiny two bed. Four bigger windows, three small.

Feeling a bit ripped off now!

BikeRunSki · 10/06/2019 10:00

We pay £12 for a 3 bed detached. £6 seems cheap.

MelonSlice · 10/06/2019 10:02

Depends on many factors, I'd expect to pay £6-£8 if they're using a ladder less system, or about £10-£15 if it's a traditional clean using ladders.

Beerincomechampagnetastes · 10/06/2019 10:02

We pay £25 every 4 weeks - Suffolk.

TraLaLaaaaa · 10/06/2019 10:04

I pay £5 for a 3 bed semi in a Northern city - 8 windows, one French door, small glass panes on front and back door.

Pascha · 10/06/2019 10:09

£15/6wks is the going rate round here. Thats for 13 windows, 2 patio doors and 2 normal doors. Having changed cleaners a year ago and again in november they all charged the same.

boughtnotbrought · 10/06/2019 10:10

I pay £6 for a semi-detached 3 bed too, in Scotland's central belt if that makes a difference
