The whole dressing gown in the supermarket thing

It's bad enough to see people going to their corner shop in a dressing gown at 9pm. But it's a busy Sunday afternoon and I shit you not there's a woman strolling around our massive local supermarket (in fact shopping park) ... in a onesie.

What the fuck is wrong with people?!

Aw, bless the person who thinks I'm lower class because I'm disabled and choose to do what's easy/causes me less pain.

Actually, privately educated, three degrees, professional until I got ill. But judge away. I'd rather be lower class than a complete twat. Who the fuck takes any notice of "class" these days anyway?

MorondelaFrontera · 10/06/2019 14:14

you by the sound of it if you get so upset about it.

TheDeflector · 10/06/2019 15:20

I'm not upset Wink

Me discussing something that has been said about class isn't me caring about differences in class. You do understand the difference, surely?

MyGastIsFlabbered · 10/06/2019 16:00

I don't even own tracksuit bottoms. I've done it and it really wasn't for attention. I don't make a habit of shopping in my pjs but sometimes needs must.

StoneofDestiny · 10/06/2019 16:16

There is a challenge - next time out shopping, shop for some tracksuit bottoms - same 'convenience' as PJ bottoms, but at least not bedclothes.

ChodeofChodeHall · 10/06/2019 16:20

I have to say I quite enjoy seeing them, so blatant! It makes me laugh every time.

MorondelaFrontera · 10/06/2019 16:22

I am commenting based on the tone of your post, if you didn't write it as you meant, it's on you.

TheDeflector · 10/06/2019 16:25

I'm of the opinion that it's down to interpretation actually, seeing as I knew how it was meant to sound.

If you're reading me saying "who the fuck cares about class" as "I care about class", I believe you have a problem with your inference skills.

MorondelaFrontera · 10/06/2019 16:27

you might know, but if you don't translate it well enough for the readers to understand, your writing skills are not as good as you think.

TheDeflector · 10/06/2019 16:28

My qualifications would disagree Smile

MorondelaFrontera · 10/06/2019 16:31

maybe a refresher course would be useful?

TheDeflector · 10/06/2019 16:35

Good idea. I can recommend you a few KS1 reading apps if you'd like? Some of them work on inference and comprehension. Reading Eggs might be a start Smile

MorondelaFrontera · 10/06/2019 16:40

haha aren't you funny. You do know what I mean though. I wouldn't throw my "qualifications" when I can't articulate my thoughts properly, it makes you look a little bit silly.

TheDeflector · 10/06/2019 16:42

Morondela, I am funny, thanks for noticing. I don't look silly though - I'll leave that to you. Off to NC now for another thread, but it's been a delight!

MorondelaFrontera · 10/06/2019 16:53

you do realise that your posts make you sound stupid, don't you?
Your attempt at sarcasm are failing miserably

Pinkyyy · 10/06/2019 17:15

I hate when people throw qualifications around as if they validate their arguments. I haven't got any and I'm not illiterate, so stop trying to make out that people without degrees are thick.

MorondelaFrontera · 10/06/2019 17:39

I think it's funny, especially when they can't back it up.

Pinkyyy it's MN, you know you can be a rocket scientist with a PHD in paediatric medicine and be in line for the next Nobel Price in literature? Take your pick Smile

StoneofDestiny · 10/06/2019 17:57

So true - fantasists abound.

Pinkyyy · 10/06/2019 18:15

@MorondelaFrontera I'm actually all of those, I just hate to bragBlush

MorondelaFrontera · 10/06/2019 18:16

Blimey, you must be busy, well done and best of luck for that nobel prize Grin

Pinkyyy · 10/06/2019 18:19

Well you know, I have to squeeze in a few minutes here and there to check AIBU Grin thanks, although I don't think I need itWink

JacquesHammer · 10/06/2019 18:22

They weren’t for me. I would imagine when I have corrective surgery it’ll be the same.

Besides, PJ bottoms aren’t bedclothes here as I don’t wear them. So they were always clean as I own one of those new-fangled washing machines.

ethelfleda · 10/06/2019 18:25

I have 49 degrees, work in an orphanage in my spare time, run the local soup kitchen and can speak 87 languages. So obviously my opinion that people who go out in pjs are lazy is the only correct one.

MorondelaFrontera · 10/06/2019 18:28

I have 49 degrees
for a second I thought you were talking about your body temperature, that didn't sound too good GrinGrinGrin
