AIBU to ask what you think is the greatest movie/tv sex scene ever?

Been chatting to some friends about this and we came up with ones from Fatal Attraction (sink scene), Brokeback Mountain, GoT (all of them ) and Pretty Little Liars amongst others. What was interesting was how some favourites did nothing for others. And some were unanimously agreed to be hot as hell.

Which ones do it for you?

I see two of my comedy favourites - Team America and The Tall Guy - have been mentioned.

I think on the whole less is more if I'm emotionally invested in the characters. But I suppose the Ken Loach film Ae Fond Kiss - the oral sex scene. And also the bit at the end of Y Tu Mama Tambien where the two young men start out caressing the woman, then move to snogging each other!

Where to start.

There is an Italian production of Anna Karenina with Santiago Cabrera and Vittoria Puccini that is incredible. I felt utterly exhausted. The build up was so intense.

For a proper dirty, sexy, shag scene, the best has to be Alcide and the female werewolf lady (can’t remember her name!) from True Blood. - felt like I needed a cold shower after that one!

Those saying about Game of Thrones. I'm a huge GoT fan (one of the few who wasn't disappointed with the last series) and I never found any of the sex scenes remotely sexy. They all seemed too bouncy-boob-focused, as if they were written by a 15 year old boy.

I do agree that any scene featuring Nikolas Causter-Waldau (sp?) was instantly sexy just because of him 😏

The scene with him and Brienne was quite hot, even though you knew he was about to break her heart.

The library sex scene in Atonement was a major influence on the formation of my sexuality. I used to watch clips of it on YouTube as a teen

A fair few in The Affair! Especially between Cole and whatever the main female character (can't remember her name!)

The bar scene in Take This Waltz. OMG. It's before they'd done anything yet and tensions were high and she asked him what he would do... and he talks her through it. They are both just sitting on their stools and he's talking. I was actually mesmerised and dazed afterward.

On the whole I find most sex scenes in movies, and particularly American TV, just shoe-horned in for titivation purposes and that annoys me.

Re: the Dirty Dancing one. Was that scene cut from the film years ago when I first watched it? Because I was a totally horny teen and don’t remember seeing it before at all. Then I watched it as a 45 year old and that scene was in it. Hot AS!

And also that Night Manager scene up against the wall. The build up was so good. I don’t even fancy Tom Hiddleston but I fantasised about swapping places with that woman
