Been chatting to some friends about this and we came up with ones from Fatal Attraction (sink scene), Brokeback Mountain, GoT (all of them Smile) and Pretty Little Liars amongst others. What was interesting was how some favourites did nothing for others. And some were unanimously agreed to be hot as hell.

Which ones do it for you?

I remember being in the cinema watching the Brad Pitt & Geena Davis sex scene in Thelma and Louise when it first came out (1991 so I was 21) and thinking I finally understood what men got out of sex scenes in films. I haven't seen it since so not sure how it's aged.

menstruator me too and i remember a collective intake of breath when he took his shirt off

FuckBrussel · 12/06/2019 14:58

Ooh, just thought of another one - Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway on the floor of her apartment in Love and Other Drugs. Mind you, he doesn't have to do a great deal to get me hot under the waistband...

Sgtmajormummy · 12/06/2019 19:19

The long, slow burn of longing, knowing it has to happen, leading up to the scene in the locked red (!) room. Then sexual delight, stagnation, fulfillment and abandonment.
There is a sex scene but watching it out of context would be voyeurism.
Here’s a 7-minute taster of the mini series which also deals with the horrors of WW1 trench warfare.
Or read the book.

To answer your query, terribly, terribly well!

@TwinklyMummaLuvsHerBubba89 Just watched the first two episodes of QaF UK, it’s quite seedy compared to the US one so far and Stuart comes across as a really horrible person, where as the American Stuart (Brian) is just cold. Also, Nathan is 15, he is 17 in the American one which while still bad isn’t quite as bad.

Aaarrgghh · 13/06/2019 16:33

Ok... I know I’ll get criticism for this...
I like Jaime and Cersei’s scenes on GOT....
I’d like to add NOT because of the insest!!! 😂 Lol.*
They are just 2 very good looking people, particularly Nikolaj Coster-Waldau... 🙃

I have to agree. At one point I even said to myself, He’s a nice-ish man and he has sex with his sister. I mean, it’s gross but he really does love her and he is gorgeous so that helps lol.

I find most sex scenes cringe or awkward to watch but that’s on me I think. I’m not a prude but for some reason watching a movie and then there’s a sex scene makes me uncomfortable, mostly if I’m sat next to someone lol. I do like the scene in titanic but it’s been a favourite film of mine since I was younger and I don’t find the scene awkward but more romantic than anything. I love the love they have for each other. Don’t cry at movies really but that film gets me every time.

IntoValhalla · 13/06/2019 17:36

Speaking of Game Of Thrones, I agree that a lot of the sex scenes are just for the sake of showing tits Hmm But the scene between Richard Madden and Oona Chaplin in the tent as the newly-married Rob and Talisa Stark was hot Grin
No blatant nudity just for the sake of it, and was actually a pretty realistic sex scene I thought! Made me feel all nostalgic, thinking back to the days when DH and I were in that passionate “honeymoon period”.

TwinklyMummaLuvsHerBubba89 · 13/06/2019 18:40

SimonJT I need to watch the US version.

The original is seedy and gritty and at times heart breaking. It was amazing and having not watched it for a long time, I need to rewatch I think.

Outofinspiration · 13/06/2019 18:55

This wasn't a sex scene but in The Office when Dawn was 'selling kisses' for charity and her and Tim 'accidentally' snogged each other was so hot!

TwinklyMummaLuvsHerBubba89 · 13/06/2019 18:56

I've just realised that it never even crossed my mind that Nathan is only 15 in QAF. I was 19 when I first watched it and dating a 35 year old man, which possibly skewed my view of such relationships.

Hepte · 13/06/2019 19:00

@Cerseilannisterinthesnow OMG yes! I have the occasional naughty dream about Eric!

The forbidden love with the priest in Fleabag was pretty hot!

meuh · 13/06/2019 19:24

@SimonJT The age of consent is 18 in some US states so perhaps that's why they made the character older, otherwise he'd be 3 years below the age of consent which would seem worse.

SimonJT · 13/06/2019 19:29

@meuh however when the UK one was filmed the age of consent was 18, it wasn’t lowered to 16 until 2001.

Totaldogsbody · 13/06/2019 19:38

Another for Sea if Love, Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin were really hot.

Totaldogsbody · 13/06/2019 19:39

Sea of Love

EatenByDinosaurs · 13/06/2019 19:39

I always though the scene in Entrapment with Catherine Zeta Jones and Sean Connery rolling around on the floor was hot as hell Grin Blush

FuckBrussel · 14/06/2019 11:31

@IntoValhalla, thankyou for supplying a link! Grin

One of the things I liked about the GoT sex scenes is that both parties were actually naked - one of my pet hates is when the man gets out of bed after a passionate sweaty session WEARING HIS BOXER SHORTS. Why? And more to the point, how??

KnittingForMittens · 14/06/2019 11:47

The Tudors, Natalie Dormer and Johnathan Meyers... Wink

IntoValhalla · 14/06/2019 12:49

@FuckBrussel you are most welcome Wink
Seem to be seeing it more and more nowadays - rather than just gratuitous female nudity, there seems to be more and more actors getting their kit off so us ladies can gawp in vulgar appreciation Grin

Tinytomato2 · 14/07/2019 22:34

Name of the rose! So intense!

BettyJune07 · 23/07/2019 21:55

Only clicked on this thread to see if anyone has mentioned The Wedding in Outlander.
They're the best sex scenes I've ever watched, the emotional connection between them is beautiful.

Also Natalie Dormer and Jonathon Rhys Meyers in The Tudors, phwoar.

BettyJune07 · 23/07/2019 22:01

Also one I dont think I've seen mentioned is Fiona Gallagher and Steve (james McAvoy) in Shameless (the original English version) when they're having sex on the kitchen floor of her dads council house.

i remember watching that aged 16 and just being like holyyy fuck. It just seemed very real to me, and definitely did it for me!
