To ask what week you gave birth?

39 weeks and so, so fed up. Baby is measuring big, I have only put any real weight on on my bump and it’s exhausting.

I’ve had cramps since 37 weeks, they seem to be getting progressively worse but then back to nothing.

So I just want to know to drive myself mad what week you went into labour, especially with the first?

And if anyone knows any secret to getting this baby out, I’m willing to pay Wink

DS1 41+1
DS2 39+6, but he was a planned section, I'd have probably gone over 41 if left to go into labour, I wasn't having any signs or twinges at all.

vampirethriller · 01/06/2019 16:37
  1. Horrendous. I had two sweeps and an induction and still nothing. If they hadn't done a section I'm convinced she'd still be in there.Grin

36 weeks exactly.5 lbs but within a month was a chubby baby :)) very easy birth.

Crunchymum · 01/06/2019 16:43

41 weeks + 2 days
40 weeks + 1 day
38 weeks.

Montsti · 01/06/2019 17:19

38 weeks (c section for medical reasons)
38 weeks emcs (cs booked for 39 weeks - went into labour early)
38 weeks elcs
38 + 4 weeks elcs

I’m abroad in a ridiculously pro c section country😩

Halo84 · 01/06/2019 17:23

I gave birth in my due date with 1 and 3. I was induced at 41 weeks with 2.

MrsMonkeyBear · 01/06/2019 17:37

41+1 (still a lazy wee lump) and 39+6, thought I'd be late with her too and had planned a night out with my eldest for Halloween)

MakeTeaNotWar · 01/06/2019 17:38

41 + 6 for my first, 40 + 5 for second

tor8181 · 01/06/2019 17:52

i was badly failed medically with my first,i think i should have had a section

i went 16 days over ,3 failed inductions/sweeps before contractions started naturally, then a 4 day labour with painful slow contractions.i kept beig send home and it wasnt till the afternoon(3pm) on the 4th day that waters went, then they took me in and he came 1.23am that night
he kept getting stuck and after asking for a c section i was told hes to far down.he came out with forceps in the end,a light puple colour and full of sticky muck not breathing,it turneds out he swallowed meconium as he was in that much distressed he pooed inside me
i was told this is because he was so far over and so long in labour

8 days over on 2nd only 16 hours labour had a indiction the day before labour started,he got stuck as well as he was bigger than no 1 he had a ventuse

i also go massive in pregnancy and put on stones and stones

i went from a 16/18 to a 36 with no 2 as my bump was that enormous

elliejjtiny · 01/06/2019 18:05

41+4, 40+6, 40+2 (all spontaneous the day before or on the day I was meant to be induced.)
35+3 (elective c-section)
36+6 (failed induction, emergency c-section)

So my advice is book an induction and you will go into labour just before!

patchisagoodpup · 01/06/2019 18:14

38 and 37 (by a whisker, wee hours of morning!). Fingers crossed not too much longer for you.

Catra · 01/06/2019 18:15

26+3!

Ribeebie · 01/06/2019 18:17

40+3 - after a sweep

Beebumble2 · 01/06/2019 18:44

43 weeks, in the days when natural birth was sacred, especially in Hampstead!
It was incredibly quick and painless. The 3 degree tear, not so !

QueenofLouisiana · 01/06/2019 19:11

40+6, waters had broken 2 days earlier so I was glad to start spontaneously as I was going in that morning for induction.

beargryllshasabigrope · 01/06/2019 19:19

39 for all of mine. Good luck!

Cyclewidow46 · 01/06/2019 19:39

38, 38 and 37.
Good luck OP, hope you're not waiting too long.

MyInnerAlto · 01/06/2019 19:43

My pregnancies got longer each time.

dc1: went into labour 37+5, dc arrived 38+0.
dc2: went into labour early in morning at 40+8, dc arrived by mid-morning.
dc3: induced at 40+10, arrived 2pm same day after some twiddling of thumbs followed by a very precipitate labour.

Didn't have much in the way of cramps before any of them.

yogafailure · 01/06/2019 19:45

My DH's family are never early for anything and my dcs have been the same from the start Wink

Canone · 01/06/2019 19:45

39+5
40+1
40+4

Mine got later each time. Good luck!

Namechange8471 · 01/06/2019 19:46

39+4, first baby

What helped was lots of sex Blush

itscallednickingbentcoppers · 01/06/2019 19:48

The cramps are your cervix softening. Which is good, might happen soon! Go for as long a walk as you can stand.

VeniVidiViciTwice · 01/06/2019 19:49

First baby 41+4 (induced) second baby 40+1 ( natural)

WhiteRedRose · 01/06/2019 19:49

Bang on my due date. I was one of the 2% 😁
