Looks a bit Wassily Kandinsky-esque.

freshasthebrightbluesky · 31/05/2019 23:22

Reminds me of my German gcse text book from the early-mid 90s. I can't for the life of me remember what it was called though!

Jenasaurus · 31/05/2019 23:24

Tracey Beaker? Keenan and Kell. Olson Twins

Imustbemad00 · 31/05/2019 23:25

I think it’s just a really familiar pattern. At first I thought saved by the bell but if you google ‘80s pattern’ loads of similar patterns come up and if you’d posted any one of them, I’d of thought I knew it from somewhere.

Fun fax

Mumofboys95 · 31/05/2019 23:27

The style is Memphis print!
This is going to drive me bonkers till it's figured out

Is it to solve some deadly crime...?

babysharkah · 31/05/2019 23:27

Ooh, wide awake club graphics might be an option, or the begging of fun house?!

Answer on this thread

DailyMaui · 31/05/2019 23:28

First thought was something from Duran Duran but now I'm convinced it's from a single or 12 inch or album from 80's Bowie - where he's boxing on the front.

I'm off to google

mabelisable · 31/05/2019 23:30

I'm sure it's from the cover of a 12" single if something. I've still got all mine and I'm going to look in the morning. Is it Princess?

DailyMaui · 31/05/2019 23:31

COULDN'T BE MORE WRONG!

stumped

lastkisstoo · 31/05/2019 23:31

Smash Hits?

RomanyQueen1 · 31/05/2019 23:31

It reminds me of a singles cover, can't think which though.

mabelisable · 31/05/2019 23:35

Is it Spandau Ballet 'True' sleeve?

AdaShelby · 31/05/2019 23:37

Rug rats surely

Twotome · 31/05/2019 23:40

I know it’s not in the credits, but I still just think of Saved by the Bell every time I see it. Maybe it’s in the actual episodes when they change scenes or go on advert?

Itsa Bitsa?

It's been on a few things, lots of things looked like this. God I hate the patterns of the eighties and nineties.

RomanyQueen1 · 31/05/2019 23:50

Completely off topic but look at these.

elasticfantastic · 31/05/2019 23:51

@fattymumslim19 I thought wallpaper too.. I'm sure I had a duvet cover like this when I was about 9 years old and a matching wallpaper border.. I think it's a generic popular print from the 80's, hence why it's also on a skateboard!

Bluejeantreefrog · 31/05/2019 23:52

Its familiar I think on an 80's album cover?

Whitefishy · 31/05/2019 23:54

I thought rugrats initially but whoever said smash hits that rings a bell too! I feel like it was the border on a book or an album. Sweet valley high books maybe?

RomanyQueen1 · 01/06/2019 00:00

It would be interesting if somebody could remember what they actually saw, or if it was something from a screen, huge advert, or something tangible.
It seems so familiar and I think I saw it, rather than held it, but could be wrong arghhhhh.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 01/06/2019 00:06

I think it seem familiar to a lot of people because this kind of geometric pattern was popular in the 90's.

bettytaghetti · 01/06/2019 00:07

RomanyQueen1 thank you for that link! Taken back to my misspent youth hanging around record stores!

Other than that, wish I'd never clicked on this thread; that image is infuriatingly familiar!! Grin
