Do they do a black version suitable for funerals?

Rockmysocks · 29/05/2019 14:59

I would have preferred a longer skirt for modesty's sake but I can see the appeal.

Have placed my order and will be enjoying a wipe clean, drip dry, windproof, waterproof classic in the next week or so. Thanks OP - but how could you bear to share the secret? We'll all be buying it!

Rockmysocks · 29/05/2019 15:03

LunaAzul - you enabler! I've had to order the shades cos you're dead right, they're perfect to accessorise the look! Am so excited for everything to arrive now!

Rockmysocks · 29/05/2019 15:10

Avonadice - it's DH birthday in a few week's time- hadn't a clue what to get him - with absolute sincerity I can swear he doesn't have a pair of them already.... problem solved.

Imagine his excited face when he opens his present....

Sceptre86 · 29/05/2019 15:21

I could imagine people might give it a go at festivals?

ACPC · 29/05/2019 15:31

I could pull that off. My arse is looking good. Plus everyone will finally get to see my faded and stretched dolphin tattoo from 1997.

Bluebluered · 29/05/2019 15:34

Well it’s perfect for rainy days. I’ve forgotten to bring a flipping umbrella out today. If I had this outfit, I wouldn’t have got so wet 😓.

LittleAndOften · 29/05/2019 15:50

Will it go with my tena ladies?

MarniLou · 29/05/2019 16:15

Yes, but TheRL

Ordering one for a wedding next Saturday

Less haste please, we need the obligatory MN thread will this outfit upstage the bride first.

IABUQueen · 29/05/2019 20:06

Marnilou.. might upstage her Lingerie selection Grin

roses2 · 29/05/2019 21:39

Oh my there's quite a range of transparent wear on that website! Confused

Gth1234 · 29/05/2019 21:41

I think the Dutch magic act wore them tonight on BGT

Ironfloor269 · 29/05/2019 21:48

Thanks, OP, for starting this thread. I've tears streaming down my face. Could do with some cheering up today.

ToPlanZ · 29/05/2019 22:33

Wish I'd had this for my recent weekend in London. It would have been just so practical. I could have rubbed a bit of baby oil on it and slipped in and out of those crowded tube carriages with ease. Sigh

SamanthaBrique · 29/05/2019 22:38

Who exactly is the customer base for this? Laughable.

Young women who want to look like the Kardashians, I suppose. They're the reason sites selling trashy outfits like Pretty Little Thing and BooHoo exist. Bit depressing to aspire to looking like a pornified version of yourself but hey ho...

MenstruatorExtraordinaire · 29/05/2019 22:38

Doesn't the prostitute from Blade Runner throw one of these on when she is leaving the strip club?

It's the perfect look for a mumsnetter.

SamanthaBrique · 29/05/2019 22:41

Are we seeing a bit too much of Iggy in that picture @OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny??

OwlinaTree · 29/05/2019 22:54

The jackets could look pretty cool, but the skirts?Confused

groundcontroltomontydon · 29/05/2019 23:19

How would you sit down without sliding off the chair?

whippetwoman · 29/05/2019 23:35

Ordered. It's going to give me the confidence boost I need when standing in front of a group of undergraduates teaching them about using the library. My fellow librarians are going to be very jealous. It's exactly the kind of thing we like to wear when ordering and shelving books.
No-one knows good fashion like a librarian.

ACPC · 29/05/2019 23:48

Anyone else excited to see M&S's version? They do like to attempt a trend, remember the big pink monolith dress? There was funny thread about it. I reckon they'll do some sort of plastic cardigan.

NurseButtercup · 30/05/2019 00:04

This is the thread that just keeps on giving.

The Iggy Pop picture was well ermmmmmm interesting Grin

Does anybody know the name of the designer we have to thank for this "transparent" trend??

Binglebong · 30/05/2019 00:10

Seriously though I am reading a dystopian sci fi book where the girls wear jeans just like this.

What's the book please? Love a good dystopia!

I think that visor has made it. The nose rest thing! Grin

Jebuschristchocolatebar · 30/05/2019 18:50

I’m crying, I just went back and had a proper look at that iggy pop picture. I now need to go peel my eyeballs
