I'm just curious about which snacks would be most missed if you were forced to move to another country? Not really AIBU but posting here for traffic.

I wasn’t forced to move to the USA but boy do I miss Monster Munch, prawn cocktail skips, fruit pastilles, Easter eggs and Greggs. Thank goodness for Amazon! I can get most things delivered (usually place an order every 6 months) but Greggs remains a treat for when I visit my mum.

PetrichorRain · 26/05/2019 17:59

Cheese and onion square crisps. Basically made out of msg and I’ve been addicted to them since I was a child.

Sunshineandshowers81 · 26/05/2019 18:03

Not a snack but marmite

GreyofSunshine · 26/05/2019 18:05

I voluntarily moved.

Chippies are the one thing that I particularly miss. Sort of miss prawn cocktail flavour crisps (my favourite flavour but I rarely eat crisps anyway).

scaryteacher · 26/05/2019 18:06

Cheese and Onion crisps, prawn cocktail crisps and smokey bacon crisps. After 13 years in belgium, they are what I miss the most. I will miss Grills, Chipitos and paprika nuts when I move back later this year.

GreyofSunshine · 26/05/2019 18:07

marmite
Widely available here (Canada)

scones with clotted cream & proper strawberry jam & proper tea - (no don't eat scones everyday but I know from living elsewhere that some countries just don't do them

Allofme1 · 26/05/2019 18:19

I miss Robinsons squash!

MightyAtlantic · 26/05/2019 18:20

Jaffa cakes. I couldn't get hold of them when I lived in Australia, I was distraught!
Nowadays if forced to move I would also miss Percy Pigs and M&S giant chocolate buttons.

Autumnsloth · 26/05/2019 18:23

double deckers, and chippies.

LashesZ · 26/05/2019 18:26

Another vote for double deckers

krustykittens · 26/05/2019 18:27

Happy shopper onion rings!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 26/05/2019 18:28

Prawn cocktail crisps and (not really a snack but) taramousalata. You can’t get it in supermarkets here (Canada).

elp30 · 26/05/2019 18:29

Although I am American, I lived in England nearly nine years.
My family has been back in the USA for 15 years and we still miss loads of things, especially snacks.

Off the top of my head, we miss:

Quavers, Monster Munch, Polo Mints, Wine Gums, Twiglets, Prawn Crackers, Bacon-flavored crisps, Worcestershire flavored-crisps, Hula Hoops, Hob Nobs, Pepperami Sticks, Yorkie Bars, Flying Saucers, Curly Wurly's, Fruit Pastilles, Glacier Mints...

Fortunately, my MIL sends them to us when we really miss them.

Jsmith99 · 26/05/2019 18:32

Bacon Wheat Crunchies. However, if I moved to North America, I could replace them with crunchy cheese Cheetos, which are like crack, so I would be quite happy.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 26/05/2019 18:33

All M&S crisps
