What do you expect from a good quality coffee shop?

I was having a discussion with a friend who owns a small chain of independent coffee shops. I mentioned that I’m not keen on having people queue up behind me for take away food whilst I’m enjoying either a peaceful few minutes to myself or chatting with a friend etc.

What, in your opinion makes for the ideal coffee shop?

@Gingerkittykat tbh the toddler group does my head in but it's an hour or so once a week and is really popular, other regulars know not to come then if they don't like it but it does put many off (It's in a separate room and I'm very good at chasing any wanderers back!)

Yes, baby showers are completely private events when the shop is closed to the public, I'm not completely off my trolley!

I like lots of Sofas and comfy chairs. I live in Nero's. But hate their queuing system where the person behind you usually gets their drink before you do.
