Bloody Emmerdale, that's all I'm saying. And yes, I know it's not real life

Cocolapew · 13/05/2019 19:20

I cried when I heard Doris Day had died earlier. Luckily I was home from work.

AngelaJ18 · 13/05/2019 19:59

I cried so hard at Warhorse that DH came in from the bedroom to check if I was ok! He thought I’d gotten bad news only to find me sobbing over a horse

Alsohuman · 13/05/2019 20:02

God help you all if you ever see the Sistine Chapel.

Laiste · 13/05/2019 20:12

@Alsohuman Yes! i cried at the Sistine Chapel.

And at the Sphinx at Giza actually. Was unexpectedly very very moved by it.

HollowTalk · 13/05/2019 20:24

That was a reference to a thread, @Laiste, where a poster screamed with emotion when she saw the Sistine Chapel.

BethanyGilbert · 13/05/2019 20:35

I cried my eyes out when Jack died in This Is Us. And when Sister Evangelina died in Call The Midwife and they put the shoes on her coffin 😭

DoxxedFox · 13/05/2019 20:36

I wouldn’t recommend Marley and Me.

PaintBySticker · 13/05/2019 20:39

A lot of tv programmes want viewers to cry and they’re very good at making it happen!

StillCoughingandLaughing · 13/05/2019 20:42

Bloody Emmerdale, that's all I'm saying.

Me too 😭

BentBaastard · 13/05/2019 20:52

I cried at the Dementia Choir on Thursday

I cried at Louis Theroux last night.

PillowTalker · 13/05/2019 20:55

I cry all the time at the TV, sob story, melancholic music, teary someone talking about a hardship.

I'm a sucker 😢

JaneJeffer · 13/05/2019 20:58

I cried at Emmerdale too. I'm always crying at Emmerdale. When Chas lost her baby DH said he would ban me from watching it because I cried at every episode for days GrinSadGrin

ZippyBungleandGeorge · 13/05/2019 21:00

I shed a tear at undercover boss earlier....

TiredSloth · 13/05/2019 21:01

I cry at tv shows and films all the time. I can only watch programmes like Greys anatomy and This is Us on my own because I start sobbing at every episode. I saw Avengers End game in the cinema the other day and cried like a baby.

TotheletterofthelawTHELETTER · 13/05/2019 21:07

I cry at Emmerdale a lot.
I also cry at the news occasionally.
I will not be watching the Louis Theroux pnd documentary as I know I will bawl (close to home).

HelloMonday · 13/05/2019 21:11

I cried at Fleabag ending 😭 i listen to the finale scene song on repeat now. As some weird self torture/release lol

DaveCoachesgavemetheclap · 13/05/2019 21:21

Some years ago, I was reading The Mousehole Cat to my Y3 class. I hadn't read it in advance and got halfway through and had to stop as I was getting too emotional. When the kids had all been collected, I finished reading it and sobbed so loudly that the Deputy Head came rushing in to see if I was okay! I can never read The Happy Prince either!

Still18atheart · 13/05/2019 21:23

I’ve just cried at Game of Thrones! And if I need a good cry My Sister’s Keeper gets me everytime

sar302 · 13/05/2019 21:24

I do, often. So often in fact, that my husband just raises an eyebrow and says "Get it together Sar302".

TheHorseOnSeventhAvenue · 13/05/2019 21:30

Cig cried when Bouncer the dog died in Neighbours - does that date me?

NoSauce · 13/05/2019 21:33

I cried a little bit watching a video on YouTube of a couple being told their adoptive baby had been born (US) the man was very emotional and they were so happy and excited, their little girl was lovely.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 13/05/2019 21:37

Emmerdale deserves a lot more recognition than it gets. I was made up for them when they won the best soap opera a few years ago. Compared to Corrie and EE Emmerdale tends to get overlooked.

I was crying before at the Lloyd's advert. The one with the little baby foal with his mummy.
Another advert that really gets to me is the Orange phone one. "I am who I am because of everyone"

SmellbowSmellbow123 · 13/05/2019 21:39

Will in the Good Wife. That’s all I’m saying. 😭😭😭😭😭

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 13/05/2019 21:39

Oh yy about Marley and me.

AngelaJ18 · 13/05/2019 21:40

Oh those YouTube videos of children getting adopted or giving adoption papers to their step parents! Cue the waterworks!

Also DoxxedFox I read the book then saw Marley & Me, at the end the entire cinema mysteriously developed a cold! Having read the book made it that bit more heartbreaking!
