What time do you eat your evening meal?

I’m ready for mine by half 6 at the latest. DP would eat his at 9 if he could. we try and compromise by meeting in the middle and having our dinner around 7:30. I’m always ravenous by then and DP isn’t fully hungry yet though. What time do you eat yours and is it the same time as the rest of your family (unless you live alone of course)?

8pm. I don't get in from work until gone 7, so by the time I've sorted the dog and had a shower, that's the earliest I can manage.

I typically don't eat anything until about 4pm and then I continue eating constantly until about 2 a.m.

Around 8.30-9pm. Get toddler into bed by 7.45 then ALWAYS have hot bath to relax first (my personal defence against ‘DC in bed so it’s wine o’clock’ becoming too daily a habit). I usually have a piece of fruit mid afternoon and a bag of popcorn or snacks jacks at about 6.30pm so I don’t starve. Won’t snack much after dinner apart from a small amount of chocolate and a herbal tea.

Neither DH or I get home from work till 6.30 but I never ate before 7.30pm growing up (once I was secondary school age and ate dinner with my parents) and usually more like 8pm at weekends so it’s just what i’m used to. DH’s parents eat at about 6pm normally so I have to make a very conscious effort not to starve them when they stay over Grin

I generally eat around 6pm and don't usually feel hungry again until breakfast time.

I hate eating late and after about 8pm I would sooner go without anything.

On the rare occasion that I do have a snack at 10pm I sleep really badly. I don't think it's healthy to eat late from what I have read.

I work until 7 and have a 30 minute commute as well as having a horse on diy livery so 9pm or so

UnicornDust9 · 16/05/2019 09:58

I don’t like eating late, 7 pm is the latest I’d like to eat tea if I’m going out

If I’m at work and finish at 6, I normally eat something like a naked noodle pot at my desk at 5.30pm and then I don’t have to bother when I’m home

cliffdiver · 19/05/2019 07:54

Are those of you that eat at 5.30/6pm not ravenous by bedtime?

Not at all, but I do go to bed at 9pm Grin

Perhaps once a week I might have a snack in the evening (usually on Friday when I have wine).

But I'm not much of a snacker anyway.
