What time do you eat your evening meal?

I’m ready for mine by half 6 at the latest. DP would eat his at 9 if he could. we try and compromise by meeting in the middle and having our dinner around 7:30. I’m always ravenous by then and DP isn’t fully hungry yet though. What time do you eat yours and is it the same time as the rest of your family (unless you live alone of course)?

6pm with the baby, then after baby's bedtime we can chill out/ do stuff. I go to bed at 9 ( as shes not sleeping through so I try to optimise sleep!), so I'd feel ill and struggle to sleep if I had a big meal as late as 8pm I think.

6pm - I couldn’t last any later than that, I’d be passing out with hunger.

Between 5.30 and 6pm.

Any later and DS is munching on snacks which means he can't eat his dinner.

5.30-6 usually. We don't need to eat that early anymore but when the dc were at home it suited their routine to eat then and we've never changed the time.

Oops sorry, I thought pp was saying she ate st 11pm.

8pm is bad enough imho.

I could happily eat at 9pm but it's not great from a digestion point of view and DP would be ravenous; so we eat around 7/7:30pm in the week, and 8ish at weekends, usually.

Kids eat at 5, DP and I eat any where between 5 and 9 depending on which after school activities we're ferrying kids about to.

I eat at 7ish and DH at 9ish. I'm too hungry to wait till 9pm and DH not ready to eat before that. We often don't even eat the same thing. I don't eat meat every day. Mil thinks it's weird

5-6pm with he kids as I then fast for 16+ hours (I will drink herbal teas, water, black coffee).

7ish here. I would actually prefer to eat later but dh is always starving when he gets in from work

The teens and I like to eat at 5pm! When DH is home (he works away 3 nights a week) it's more like 6pm.

6:30. If we didn't have kids then we'd both prefer 8 but i like us to eat together. The kids are in bed at about 7:30.

7.30 to 8.30. However it tends to be small.

8ish but DD is 7 months and I'd like to start us all eating together as a family so trying to aim for 6/6.30ish,

Normally 7-7.30pm. DC normally have a snack when they get home to keep them going.

The kids typically eat around 6pm. DH isn't usually home from work by then, so I eat with him later (around 8.30pm). We all eat together at weekends (at the earlier time).

I try and eat my main meal between 12 and 1pm (work from home) if I have an evening meal I eat before 6 pm.
I cannot sleep on a full stomach and have been told it is not good to go to bed with full stomach because digestion slows down when you are asleep and undigested food then just lies in your stomach.

Between 5-5.30pm except on Friday because I work until 7

When we're hungry! Usually ends up being about 5.00-6pm for the DC and between 7-9pm for DH & I.

We eat between 5-5.30 every night so we can all eat together. Am lucky that my oh works 6-2 and I work part time so we are all home together after school run at 3.30

We usually all eat together about 6ish when DP gets home from work.

Between 5-6 now we have kids and my husband works at a different job and finishes at 5.

Pre kids we both worked until (5.30-8pm at varied nights) and would eat between 7-8.30pm.

Depends on my shifts, DD eats at 5.30 on a school day. Dh and I will eat between 7-9. If I'm on an early shift I aim for 7pm latest, late shifts I eat at work as not home until midnight. Days off vary, we try and eat all together Friday, Saturday and Sunday if possible, with DD having a earlier snack then we all together between 6.30-7.30
