So we live in a relatively new build which has 6 designated spaces (think 1A, 1B, 1C and so on)

I'm not long back and there is a car in my space, so I parked in the one next to me. The next door neighbour came out and asked me to move as her husband is due back soon.
But move where!!

My local Co-op is open 7 days a week, including Sundays, from 6a.m - 10p.m. I am in Southern England. It depends on the square footage of the store as to how long they can open on Sundays.

If someone has a parking space specifically labelled and designated for their property then that is the same as a driveway. If someone parked in my driveway I’d be right out there asking them why on earth they would ever think it’s acceptable to put their vehicle onto my private land. If they didn’t move their car immediately and apologise I would be blocking them in.
Someone was a dick to you, so you were a dick to someone else. Everyone on this thread things you’re an asshole. Get a moral compass. Someone never taught you that 2 wrongs don’t make a right.

This thread has left an unpleasant taste in my mouth. Notwithstanding the fact that THE OP was unreasonable, the name calling by some posters has been totally unnecessary.

It's not am unused space OP.

If you were visiting friends and had to find parking on a residential street but there wasn't any nearby, would you pull into an empty driveway and park there? Because it the same thing. It belongs to the house. Those leaves belong to numbered flats. It's not an unused space; it's allocated parking. Someone took your space which is not OK. It follows that it is not OK for you to take someone else's.

If you wouldn't park in a strangers driveway then you shouldn't park in the allocated spaces at your flat. If you would then you deserve the name calling on here.
