So I have just been watching a documentary about Becky watts murder and everything about it was so shocking.

Doxxedfox fuck me. You think you know some stuff about the world and then you find that out. That poor girl.

DoxxedFox · 13/05/2019 21:51

Missi Sorry. It’s awful isn’t it. It’s just so sad.

kierenthecommunity · 13/05/2019 22:03

Also, poor Ayeeshia Smith. That poor wee baby

Ayeeshia has really stuck with me as she was born in the same month as my son. Both were in care and my son was eventually placed for adoption and became ours. Ayeeshia was returned to her mother and brutally murdered

Had circumstances been only slightly different my son could have ended up like that poor little girl 😢

The Petit family home invasion and murders in Connecticut.

Bubblegumgal · 13/05/2019 22:04

Doxxedfox I read about it a while ago too, I think one of the people involved is still doing something similar?

And Breck Bednar

SavageBeauty73 · 13/05/2019 22:06

Lordy I have googled too many. I'll have nightmares tonight ❤️

OldAndWornOut · 13/05/2019 22:28

I'm a massive fan of true crime (not committing it!) but I just can't read about parents systematically abusing their own children.

PierreBezukov · 13/05/2019 22:29

Anyone mentioned the Colin Howell and Hazel Stewart double murder?

Truly bizarre especially as everyone thought it was a double suicide until he suddenly confessed 20 years later.

southbucks77 · 13/05/2019 22:32

One that always makes me cry is Damilola Taylor. That poor little boy was just trying to get back to his mummy when he succumbed to his wounds.

Baby Brianna is particularly shocking because that poor little baby never knew love. Only pain. Most the others have shocking deaths but at least had had a decent life first. As a parent of a child who was in pain for a lot of the first 18 months in life I struggle with the idea that a child doesn’t have love and cuddles alongside that.

HazelBite · 13/05/2019 22:39

Mick and Mairead Philpott, to do that to your own chidren in such a calculated manner.

tash7779 · 13/05/2019 22:44

Damilola Taylor
Stephen Laurence

AgentCooper · 13/05/2019 22:51

Oh Damilola Taylor. That poor, poor wee boy. I was quite wee myself at the time but i’ve never forgotten his lovely wee face.

Karen Buckley, the young nurse who was murdered by Alexander Pacteau in Glasgow, where I live, a few years ago. That was monstrous. Her poor parents broke my heart.

HPLikecraft · 13/05/2019 22:54

I was thinking about that case recently, Pierre, I saw the dramatisation not long ago. Poor Lesley and Trevor.

Colin Howell was so arrogant and evil. Probably a sociopath. No remorse for what he did. Also sexually abused his patients as they were under sedation. Hazel Stewart going along with him I can’t comprehend.
What’s worse is that when Howell confessed to his second wife, she did nothing for years! So awful.

perdigal · 13/05/2019 23:05

Chris watts hands down. So disturbing I had to step away. His two little girls. Just heartbreaking (and wife and pregnant son)

Munchkingoat · 13/05/2019 23:10

The Soham murders, poor Holly and Jessica. I lived in an adjacent village at the time and my youngest went to nursery in Soham. I remember taking him to nursery and seeing people searching, all the police and media everywhere every single day, police car checks everywhere. I just kept hoping they'd be found.

You always think 'it doesn't happen here' but then it does... Right on your doorstep.

CustardySergeant · 13/05/2019 23:16

By chance, while looking at Quora I came across the case of Blanche Monnier (1 March 1849 – 13 October 1913). It's completely beyond comprehension how anyone could be so cruel to anyone, let alone a mother to her own daughter.

Yes that's her name! Evil evil evil

Lalotai47

I followed that case the whole time. That was a truly horrendous crime! That poor family! Which could have been saved when the bank told the police etc

ObvsItsNotMe · 14/05/2019 06:54

Definitely the Toolbox Murders as referenced by another poster. Never heard anything so horrific in my life. Kriss Donald too.

Earthakitty · 14/05/2019 08:51

The murder of Sharon Tate and her friends to me was just sickening. 50 years ago this August.
I hope Krenwinkel , Watson and Van Houten burn in Hell.

mydogisthebest · 14/05/2019 09:00

I was 14 when the Sharon Tate murders happened and I remember reading about it in the newspapers. I think it was the first time I had ever really heard about real life murders.

It preyed on my mind for ages and I had nightmares about it.

hoodathunkit · 14/05/2019 09:12

Russell Williams

Very disturbing on many levels, also a fascinating insight into how a famous military man of great repute was, in his private life, a cross-dresser, burglar, voyeur and sadistic murderer

also the interrogation of Williams was absolutely fascinating and significant elements of it can be found on youtube
