So I have just been watching a documentary about Becky watts murder and everything about it was so shocking.

OP posts:
Crinescene · 13/05/2019 17:52

Bamber implicated his sister however apparently she couldn’t have pulled the trigger as too long for her to reach and hard to shoot your self twice in a suicide ;(

kaitlinktm · 13/05/2019 17:55

The Moors murderers will always stay in my mind - I was a similar age to their victims and lived in the same area. I think of the tape they made which I think was played in court but has never been broadcast since - I hope it won't ever be.

happyhillock · 13/05/2019 17:57

Dunblane
James Bulger
Holly and Jessica
Sandy Hook
All child murder's are horrific

Bacardi101 · 13/05/2019 17:59

April Jones the little girl that was abducted and murdered, it stayed with me for a very long time after it was on the news and was very upsetting

NeverSayFreelance · 13/05/2019 18:14

I recently discovered the Wineville Chicken Coop Murders - they are pretty grisly.

The Soham Murders traumatised me - I was only a child when that happened.

Dee Dee and Gypsy Rose Blanchard is a bonkers one.

Then there's poor JonBenet Ramsay.

Genuine50 · 13/05/2019 18:15

Robert Black and Peter Tobin - their crimes were just sickening. Aaron Campbell Who murdered the poor little girl on Skye. All pure evil.

dayswithaY · 13/05/2019 18:20

Asha Degree, little girl in US who packed a bag and left home in the middle of night, she was seen out walking in the pouring rain on a dark night then just disappeared. I would love to know what happened. Amy Lyn Bradley, disappeared from a cruise ship, her parents were on board searching but no one would help them. Witnesses claim she was trafficked. Her poor parents then got fleeced by a private detective they hired. Even the FBI didn't want to know. Israel Keyes - a serial killer and the stuff of nightmares. He made his victims vanish so police thought they were just missing persons. He travelled all over the US and probably killed hundreds but killed himself in prison so we'll never know his victims' names.

I always remember Suzy Lamplugh and Claudia Lawrence. Marie Wilks killed on the M50, she was pregnant and her car broke down. A man was convicted but then released on appeal and no one has ever been charged.

There have also been a lot of cold cases solved by DNA. Melanie Road was killed and left in the street near her home. The killer was found after his daughter got arrested and they took her DNA and found a link. He had lived all those years with the knowledge of what he had done and lived an ordinary life. Makes me cold to think how many murderers are walking free and living among us. Thank God for DNA.

steff13 · 13/05/2019 18:21

Black Dahlia

Genuine50 · 13/05/2019 18:22

The recent case of the monster that went on the run on an assaulting spree. He appears to have broken into a home, tired up a mother and then assaulted her 11 year old son and 17 year old daughter. This is so upsetting and disturbing.

onegiftedgal · 13/05/2019 18:22

James Bulger murder. The anger that I feel towards those two men is beyond description. They are now leading comfortable, private lives but imo should have been locked up for life.

onegiftedgal · 13/05/2019 18:29

The male of the species are despicable creatures.

Cherylshaw · 13/05/2019 18:30

The James Bulger murder will always stay with me, it horrified me at the time but as a mum now it sickens me that they are now living free and could be anyone's neighbor.
junko furuta I had to Google after so meny of you mentioned it and wish I didn't, truly evil

Cherylshaw · 13/05/2019 18:31

@onegiftedgal
Plenty of evil men and women out there

TigerTooth · 13/05/2019 18:37

I remember a case of what a woman did to a small Chinese boy and tbh I wish I didn’t know because it’s just too too horrific and too sad.

onegiftedgal · 13/05/2019 18:38

@Cherylshaw
Mostly men though.

Ivegotthree · 13/05/2019 18:41

Lee Rigby

Cherylshaw · 13/05/2019 18:45

@onegiftedgal
In serial killers yeh, but just as murders you would be surprised

hardyloveit · 13/05/2019 18:51

Onegiftedgal there are plenty of woman who do sickening crimes, you can't just say the male of the species.

Aileen wournes
Rose West
Myra hindley
There was the woman in USA recently who killed her child by sodium over a prolonged period of time
Velma barfield
Carol Bundy
Diane O'Dell
Louise pette
Joanne denahey
The nurse who killed all those babies in the uk (can't think of her name off the top of my head)
The list is HUGE! Yes it's more male than female however the female species is just as bad and sadistic!

Floofboopsnootandbork · 13/05/2019 18:57

Ted Bundy - if his life and crimes were a film you would think it was utterly horrifying and ridiculous

There is a film which has been brought out recently about the life of Ted Bundy called 'Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.'

I was going to say Ted Bundy mainly because the film really stuck with me and I couldn’t stop thinking about it for a while after.

Wizzywoodoodah · 13/05/2019 19:00

@Genuine50
I haven’t been able to sleep since I read about these awful assaults on those 2 children last week. The thought of how the poor mum must be feeling makes me sick to the stomach. I can’t think about it without getting teary, heaven knows how they are coping.

ArDali1 · 13/05/2019 19:09

-Amora Bain Carson.
Typing her name makes my stomach churn. It's by far the worst. Sad

-James bulger
It's just so upsetting that kids could do this.

-Katarzyna Zowada

-Cathy Cesnik
Watched the documentary on Netflix "The Keepers" so upsetting.

-Zodiac killer. Creepy!

-Ted bundy.
They've just released a film starring Zac Efron!

Vynalbob · 13/05/2019 19:09

chainofevents · 13/05/2019 19:11

All these posts that say ‘don’t Google XYZ’
I’m straight into bloody google.

I’m staying in a hotel on my own tonight, and now I’m going to have to go to the bar to de-frighten myself. FFS 🙄

hardyloveit · 13/05/2019 19:18

Can't remember who posted and said David McGreavy but just re read about him and his has been legally cleared for release on parole 😵🤬

Genuine50 · 13/05/2019 19:18

The 'Limbs in the loch' case. Barry Wallace a poor 17 year old lad, walking home tipsy after a Christmas work night out was abducted, assaulted and butchered. Every parents nightmare. Can't comprehend such evil.
