About dispute with neighbours

We don't get on well at all with our neighbours. We usually ignore them however today they really annoyed me so my partner went to talk to them. The male in the couple was throwing small amounts of water out of his window onto his parking space, unfortunately he wasn't being that careful and some of the water ran onto our parking space too. Luckily it missed my car. My partner then went into my garage (the neighbours live in a flat above our garage) and the neighbour continued throwing the water out despite the fact he must have known my partner was out there.

My partner then knocked on their door several times. I was watching and I will admit he did knock pretty hard but I think it was understandable that he was angry given he could have got water chucked on him.

The neighbours didn't answer so we left it but am not sure what to do now. My partner wants to knock again but I want to call the police as it might possibly count as an attempted assault. I know that sounds a bit extreme but I've had to call them before when my daughters saw my neighbour looking up at them in their in the bedroom so it indicates a pattern of harassment. WIBU to call the police or should I let my partner knock on their door tomorrow?

Batshit the whole thing. May I suggest a hobby?

Sallycinammonbangsthedruminthe · 12/05/2019 09:49

May I suggest as well as a hobby..medication and therapy?

ambereeree · 12/05/2019 09:59

I really think you are my old neighbour OP. If so you haven't changed much.

itsbetterwithoutyou · 12/05/2019 10:17

If this is real @Lauren1983 you have my deepest sympathy for living next to this nutjob.

FatThor · 12/05/2019 10:30

This just gets weirder and weirder. So presumably Lauren1983 and Jennifer1983 are the same poster and one of the threads is a reverse. But why? Such pettiness

sideorderofchips · 12/05/2019 10:31

What the actual fuck.

Iooselipssinkships · 12/05/2019 10:48

The other weekend my neighbours, 7 or 8 early twenties females, had loud awful misogynistic music playing and I asked politely for them to turn it down because I didn't want my kids hearing it and it was so loud it was intrusive. DP and I were doing the garden and they were a matter of
metres away and it's a very low fence.
Instead they turned it up and spent the next few hours calling me (loudly) a fat bitch/slag/nutter between themselves and laughing whenever I walked by.
After ignoring it and carrying on with the garden I eventually flipped. They said they can do what they want and hurled more personal abuse at me and one started to charge toward me.
I ended up grabbing my hose pipe and soaking the lot of them. In turn they threw a shoe.
Police were there within 2 hours after they rung them.
It took them double the time to get out when I'd had my face caved in by my ex.
Water is serious shit people.
And yeah I was probably out of order, assaulted them etc etc, but I really don't care and was quite glad I did it.
Luckily the police were incredulous at the whole thing and it went no further.
DP now in charge of hose.

Thought this was familiar somehow...

Both posters are name1983. What a coincidence!

DeadWife · 12/05/2019 12:50

wizzywig · 12/05/2019 13:23

Op you are my neighbour arent you? Screaming like a loon because i was having boiler problems which caused water to come out onto your cars. Cars dont melt if water gets onto them

chatnicknameyousuggested · 12/05/2019 13:34

I'm a judge. Recently all my work has been either property or fraud.
Why do I never get the decent cases like this?

IHaveNoIdeaReally · 12/05/2019 13:37

OMG this thread. 😂😂😂

CrumbsCrumbsEverywhere · 12/05/2019 13:54

PLEASE someone have a link to that aforementioned 'willy willy willy' thread.

CrumbsCrumbsEverywhere · 12/05/2019 13:55

Ignore above, found it! www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/1270796-To-have-reported-this-builder-to-his-company (in case anyone missed it)..

Runforthehills754 · 12/05/2019 14:00

Biscusting · 12/05/2019 14:01

Poor guy can’t even empty his penis beaker in peace. YABU

CrumbsCrumbsEverywhere · 12/05/2019 14:14

runforthehills very little makes me laugh out loud. But that thread.... along with the 'man on the bus' one. I just couldn't stop howling!..

Biancadelrioisback · 12/05/2019 14:21

But ... I mean..... What??? Eh???

Biancadelrioisback · 12/05/2019 14:23

My neighbour looked out their window once. They live opposite me so clearly they saw my house as it forms part of their view. I reported them to the neighbourhood watch, the police, the council, crime stoppers and Jeremy Kyle. Fortunately they've been sentenced to life with a blindfold on so I can finally sleep soundly at night knowing they can't look at my house again. Phew!

MyCatHogsTheBed · 12/05/2019 14:27

If my car was made out of biscuit, I'd have eaten it by now.

youngfreeandnotsingle · 12/05/2019 14:38

cheers, car's crying now howling😂

You sound like you're harrassing the neighbours OP, not the other way around. Sure the police have better things to be doing

pineapplebryanbrown · 12/05/2019 17:05

Are you prepping for the zombie apocalypse OP? When it happens I think you'll be an early target.
