To want to go to Ibiza to see Calvin Harris (I’m over 50)

Just that really....

I love Calvin Harris, I listen to his music all the time. But am I too old to go to Ibiza if I’m over 50?

I wouldn’t go clubbing every night, just have a normal family holiday and go to Pasha the night he is on. My husband is keen, but we would probably be the oldest folk there, and feel a bit silly. We do go to gigs a lot, but this is well out of our comfort zone.

Our three grown up sons will think this is hilarious!

Do it, Ibiza has no age limit!

MintyCedric · 10/05/2019 20:14

I'm off to Capital FM Summer Ball in a few weeks - he's headlining.

I'm nearly 44 and I couldn't give a rats arse!

Go for it, you'll only regret it if you don't.

KatnissMellark · 10/05/2019 20:14

YANBU. You won't be the oldest there. DH and I went a few times pre children, stayed in a nice family hotel, went out every 3-4 nights and did normally holiday-couply stuff in between. Definitely do it, you won't regret it! It's the only place we've been back to more than once and we've seen loads of great bands and shows there

DragonMamma · 10/05/2019 20:14

Agree with Chopper. You won’t be the oldest person there either.

IHaveBrilloHair · 10/05/2019 20:14

Goooo.

Sallyseagull · 10/05/2019 20:15

Music has no age limit, especially music like house music. Go for it!

AgnesNaismith · 10/05/2019 20:15

YANBU I have wanted to do that for quite some time too!

igglu · 10/05/2019 20:16

You definitely won't be the oldest ones there. He's on at Ushuaia too if you prefer something not as full on as a club. If you're treating yourself stay in the hotel, it's brilliant.

countdowntonap · 10/05/2019 20:19

Don’t feel silly at all! Ibiza is the least judgmental place - Enjoy.

sohypnotic · 10/05/2019 20:20

Do it! Up until a few years ago, I (30 at the time) went to Creamfields amongst other dance festivals, with my Dad (60) lol. Ravers don't generally care, although never been to Ibiza to know the reaction there. Went to a few of the super clubs in Vegas around the same time too, although with my husband, not many young in them as so expensive! One word of warning, headline acts are on very late, usually 2-4am ish, can't cope with that anymore 😂

alibongo5 · 10/05/2019 20:24

Echo everyone else here - do it! I find that most music events I go to have all ages at them.

FoxSake · 10/05/2019 20:25

Ibiza is surprisingly not a young persons game so much these days mainly due to the cost. You’ll be pleasantly surprised, you must go.

Tootiredtosleepnow · 10/05/2019 20:27

You will definitely not be the oldest there!
Please do it, you will have a great time and Pacha is a beautiful club.
I live here and Ibiza really does not have an age limit, infact the majority of my friends are a fair bit older than you.

ShesABelter · 10/05/2019 20:28

I have seen plenty of older people in Ibiza. Do it there's some lovely areas of Ibiza.

MrsPworkingmummy · 10/05/2019 20:28

I took my hubby for his 50th last year and we absolutely were not the oldest there x

LadyofMisrule · 10/05/2019 20:31

Go!! Calvin Harris is fab.

(I'm 50 too)

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm · 10/05/2019 20:33

Thank you all!

@igglu tell me about Ushuaia. I just thought it was another club similar to Pasha.
I’ve never been to Ibiza. Not even when I was young.

I went to see him about ten years ago for my 30th. I was pregnant and I raved.

igglu · 10/05/2019 20:44

Ushuaia is a bit more "gig" than club, more like a performance than a dj set I think. It's outdoors and finishes by midnight, but you've got Hi across the road if you do want to go to a club afterwards.

I've been twice and LOVED it, we booked into a front row room last time, which was pricey, but we'd split the cost between us and it was a real highlight of our holiday.

Mythreefavouritethings · 10/05/2019 20:57

Definitely go, enjoy it with everyone else. Your ears are as entitled to the same music as anyone else’s! Oh and 🤣 at Lllot

fillmyglassplease · 10/05/2019 21:09

Absolutely DO IT!!

The80sweregreat · 10/05/2019 21:20

Lucky you!
Just go and have fun.

megletthesecond · 10/05/2019 21:23
