To want to go to Ibiza to see Calvin Harris (I’m over 50)

Just that really....

I love Calvin Harris, I listen to his music all the time. But am I too old to go to Ibiza if I’m over 50?

I wouldn’t go clubbing every night, just have a normal family holiday and go to Pasha the night he is on. My husband is keen, but we would probably be the oldest folk there, and feel a bit silly. We do go to gigs a lot, but this is well out of our comfort zone.

Our three grown up sons will think this is hilarious!

You most certainly won’t be the oldest there! I went to Ibiza for the first time age 18, and the atmosphere was so different to typical ‘clubbing’ resorts- people of all ages, no one judging each other based on how they looked/were dancing. There’s such an unspoken understanding that everyone is there for the music which creates this weird sort of bond. It’s hard to describe, but is the reason that I have been back every year since- I am 40 next year! Granted, the nature of my trips has changed- I used to go with friends, go out every night and party hard whereas now I go on a long weekend with DH, go to one event and not get up to anything raucous but I love the music, the atmosphere, and the island itself more than I can really put into words so I don’t see it stopping any time soon.

We have a music festival in my hometown in my home country (Glastonbury type) and locals over 70 can go and get free tickets for themselves. So you see all these 70+ people raving away!
