Was having a conversation with a friend this week and she's been banned from her local swimming centre for arguing with the receptionist. The receptionist didn't believe her daughters age and said that she was trying to get her in cheaper Confused resulting in the manager banning her for life!

It made me think of the time I was banned from Santa's grotto 15 years ago 🤦🏻‍♀️ I can't go into too much detail because it's extremely outing!

Have you ever been banned from somewhere and why?

Lighthearted 😬

I was banned from Twitter temporarily for calling Adrian Harrop a delusional jumped up little wanker who ought to be struck off. No regrets!

SpoonBlender · 11/05/2019 14:13

I got banned from my local freecycle group for asking why I wasn't getting any emails from them. Apparently I had a suspicious email address. It's the one I've used on the Internet since 1996, and is easily googleable as being mine for decades.

A nightclub in Glossop. I punched my friends ex in the face because he'd battered her black and blue a few weeks before and had followed us round the pubs that night. A bouncer tried to chuck me out and I offered to slap him with my shoe (?). Was promptly thrown out and banned. Absolutely no regrets at all! Grin

I got banned from the tiny cafe near my workplace once, for asking if my egg could be cooked a bit more as it was runny. I was heavily pregnant and was concerned about Salmonella.

I was also screamed at and run out of a barbers once when we first moved, for mentioning that their prices were a little bit higher than what we were used to but would like to cut my dc hair. The head barber was swore on his mother’s life that there were no barbers within 30miles of the county who had cheaper prices than him and he will not tolerate lying in his shop. He was physically restrained by his staff from tackling me and my dc I was with.

Some crazy people out there.

I got chucked out and banned from a local cafe for asking what oil they cooked their chips in (just wanted to check it was vegetarian!)

Banned from a local shop for refusing to give ID for buying bread. Yes, you read that correctly.

A lad I went school with his family ran the shop. The lads older brother also worked at the shop, who quite clearly couldnt do maths. I had turned 18 yet his brother was still 17, so when I was buying alcohol and cigs the genius older brother presumed I was using a fake ID. He couldn't understand how I was 18 but yet was in the same year as his 17 year old brother.

He had even told his parents when they was serving me that I was using a fake ID, they sort of gave him a Hmm look.

Now the parents had gone away and left genius brother in charge. I had gone in to buy bread and other misc items. Placed my items down and he asks me for ID. I laugh and say since when did you need ID for bread. You could see his anger at the fact I wasn't buying any products that required any ID, probably didn't help the few people behind me sniggered and one made a comment of " do I need ID for this product"

He banned me! I just had to avoid the shop if he was in.

"I was banned from Twitter temporarily for calling Adrian Harrop a delusional jumped up little wanker who ought to be struck off. No regrets"

Do you regret not calling him a cunt, though? I mean, if you're going to be banned anyway, you might as well do it properly Grin

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 11/05/2019 15:16

I'm sure I'm going to get banned from MN any day now Grin

BarbedBloom · 11/05/2019 15:20

I was banned from Sunday school when I was 8 for 'asking too many questions'. Hmm

I got banned from a nightclub for DTD in the lockable toilets (which also had a sofa). Blush Ended dating dating the guy for almost a year though

EnglishRose13 · 11/05/2019 15:48

Not a place, but in year 7 a teacher banned me from speaking to him ever again because another girl shouted "Crab Head" at him and he thought it was me. He was called Mr Crab.

It was an odd punishment from a teacher.

aquashiv · 11/05/2019 15:59

These are hilarious.
I feel so boring.

FenellaVelour · 11/05/2019 16:13

The guy who played Noddy in Byker Grove, who had also been in a boy band called Point Break, was the manager of my local Yates Wine Lodge.

Got banned for repeatedly asking him to play Point Break songs.

babyno5 · 11/05/2019 17:29

I got banned from my local Kwik Fit for telling all the customers they were a bunch on con artists after discovering they put 2 run flats and 2 non run flats on my company car but charged me for 4 run flats. Only discovered when it went to BMW dealers.
No great loss as wouldn't go back anyway 😂😂

TigerTooth · 11/05/2019 17:39

got banned from a student union (not mine, I went to visit a friend at university) for calling a toff a "posh cunt" and pushing him into a rose bush

Why did you do that? Was it just his accent you objected to?

Jessie94 · 11/05/2019 17:53

I got banned from Dominoes.
I ordered for delivery. The delivery driver couldn't find my address and decided I'd given a fake one (despite me paying and phone up after 90 mins asking where my food was).
They were really rude on the phone and demanded I come and collect it. I demanded they pay my taxi fare to do so. They refused.

In the end they sent another driver who found my house but reported me as being violent with an aggressive dog. (I was 9 months pregnant, knackered and crying and my dog was the sloppiest thing ever who didn't even come to the door)

There was a pizzeria near Trafalgar Square - one of the chains. I was going to a concert with a friend, came down the stairs - clocked the waiter, who came over and put down a carafe of water and some bread sticks, saying he'd be over shortly. The waiter goes back over to the bar, and is chatting with the barman, and we are the only customers in the restaurant. After 10 minutes of waiting for the menu, and having eaten some of the breadsticks, I wander over and ask if we could order (we'd decided just to order 2 margarhita pizzas to make it simple). With a face like thunder, the waiter said he "would be over shortly, as I've told you already". 20 mins had passed, and I decided to take my comrade for a salad at the canteen at the ICA, which, whilst being self service, would at least be immediately edible. We got up to leave, and were walking towards the stairs, whereupon the waiter launched himself between us and the stairs and demanded we "pay for the water and the breadsticks". I said we had waited long enough for service and this was a reasonable reaction. Whereupon he told us we were "barred" - I said "I'll live with it". They were gone 3 months later

quizqueen · 11/05/2019 18:08

My team has been banned from several quiz venues because we kept winning. I pointed out it wasn't our fault the other teams weren't as clever as us!!!! Also on occasion, we have told quizmasters they had the wrong answers for some questions, which was true, and they wouldn't google to check. We've been called professional quizzers a lot. We may win about £5 each a week!!

Cornholio78 · 11/05/2019 18:09

My whole family (adults and kids) got banned from Burger King at a theme park for having a good fight. Funniest think was it was my dad that started it 😂

Haworthia · 11/05/2019 18:10

I've also been banned from a particular caravan site for DTD in a what we thought was a discreet and quiet manner in a swimming pool cubicle

Oh my word. So you reckon only people shagging in cubicles loudly and obviously would be deserving of a ban? Presumably it was the middle of the day and you were surrounded by families changing with young kids?

hamptonmummy · 11/05/2019 18:14

I got banned from a pub but only on a Tuesday kareoke night, I used to screech Barbie girl very badly ha ha !!

silvercollie · 11/05/2019 18:18

Stonehenge. Officials did not like me standing barefoot on a fallen stone at 0530hrs. Escorted away! Amazing, gosh I wish I had been as high as a kite but no, just driven 70 miles with visitors. Obviously my bare feet were a threat to national security or something! Hilarious.

KennDodd · 11/05/2019 18:18

My jack russell was banned from puppy school for being unteachable.

hamptonmummy · 11/05/2019 18:19

And was also banned from baby centre birth group along with a few other sensible ladies !!

SecretWitch · 11/05/2019 18:21

I got banned, along with my ex-MIL, one Halloween night, for being “outlandish” in a pub.

To be fair, we were both drunk and obnoxious. I was wearing one of those beanies hats with a spinner on top.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 11/05/2019 18:22

I was banned from the beanie baby website because I upset the beanies apparently. 😆
