to be super puzzled why my elbow stinks

what on earth...... I am clean. I am always clean. However for the past few days my right elbow (the crook of it) has been omitting a god awful stench. I can't wash it off. It is foul.

It smells like feet and rot and awfulness. There is no broken skin, it just looks like a normal elbow. WTF.

why is this happening? anyone got any ideas? soap isn't doing anything!

My DC start to smell vinegary when they are coming down with a bad cold/flu. However I assure you that they smell nice at all other times.
Sometimes other people smell vinegary to me when they're about to get the flu too.
Funny about the Parkinson's smell. My late Uncle had it & when you got up close he had a faint candle/crayon wax smell. Unless it was just him?

Ok so I just tried to sniff my elbow in front of my Dad. Then licked my hand. He asked what drugs I’ve been taking today (then sniffed his own elbow - which smells of Skips as my daughter was sat on his knee eating them!).

It sounds like perspiration. Sweating which in turn can be something like athletes foot but on the arm......

Having now sniffed my elbows plus a friend's today (that was a weird conversation) I am intrigued why one elbow smells of biscuits and one doesn't smell at all. For both me and my friend....

If you don't want to see a GP at this point, take it to a pharmacist and see what they say.

Have you got a pet dog, you could see if it heads to your elbow, animals can sometimes sniff out suspect parts of the body, don’t they sometimes find cancers before people know

Have you licked it? Does it TASTE like something festering?

Do you carry a handbag in the crook of your arm?

I've had a stinky inner elbow, genuinely.

It's been from when my eczema flares up (in a rashy sense, not the dry and scabby sense) and I think it's fungal. Could be similar for you?

TracyBeakerSoYeah in my experience Parkinson's has a kind of greasy, musky smell, so that could definitely be what you could smell on your uncle.

Top of my ears smell like this like the flat ridge between you heard and then where your ear rim. I wash my hair and wash there every day at same time and by evening they smell of belly button it's rank but a pretty moreish smell....luckily my husband's not the nibble on my ear lobe type for his sake 😂

Have made him and all the kids let me rub their ears there and none of theirs smell.

Our son calls elbows ‘arm knees’. Helpful.
